[Become the Netherlich's master? It admired your ability to fight something stronger than you.]
Shocked, I re-read the message several times. What in the hell? How did we not discover this in my time?
Maybe someone did..and they kept it a secret..that made more sense.
I debated: Yes; I get a powerful familiar
No;It possibly attacks me because I dismissed it
Obviously I said "yes" and gently took my hand away from the creature, feeling a bit safer now.
[The Netherlich would like a name. Please Name your Familiar.]
A name? Oh boy..Creeper? No..I thought back to its cat form. Fluffy? Too cutesy. Grey. How about Grey?No..Saber!
[You have named your Familiar

Was that strong? I mean I know it's strong but those stats seem kinda low sounding for such a strong monster...
I checked my stats.

[Υπηρέτης μέχρι θανάτου]?? I have no idea what language that is. Greek? Hebrew? Scanning the rest of my stats, it seemed whatever it was gave me a skill a useful-sounding one at that. I'd never heard of the
My stats were high for only being level two, maybe Saber had something to do with that?
Eh. Whatever. I'll figure it out later. It was strange that I had gotten different skills this time, but I had awoken in different circumstances, so that might have something to do with it.
I move ahead In the dungeon after rinsing my mouth out with some water. Blech.
The next monster type I encountered was a burrow of Horned Rabbits.
There were some sparse bushes past the trees, full of fruit. Edible to humans, and safe to eat. I approached the bushes, where the rabbit stood, nibbling on berries.
I caught it's attention.
The rabbit screeched at me and ran away. I followed after it, but even running after it at full speed, I couldn't catch up to it. I dove at it, hoping the momentum would push me further, but I just face-planted in the grass.
I scrambled up, running after it again, sweat dripping down my face. I had no stamina left.
I threw my bag at it in a desperate attempt to slow it down, it hit the rabbit.
It turned to face me, screeching, and sent a fireball at me. I just barely managed to dodge. A magic horned rabbit? That would make this harder, but at least I had gotten it to stop a second.
I saw Saber start to move out of the corner of my eye, but I wanted to do this alone. I needed to do this alone. He seemed to understand me somehow and didn't intervene.
I picked up my bag, chased after it, and threw it again, this time lunging at it when it paused. I grabbed onto its horn, face-planting in the grass again. "Ahahaha" I cheered. I had finally caught the stupid thing!
I quickly killed it, snapping its neck.

Awesome. That would help level up faster.
Time to smoke out the rest of the rabbits. I broke off some branches on the bush that looked dead, and some paper from my bag. I hoped it would be dry enough. Lighting the branches on fire, I threw them in the burrow.
Rabbits ran out like a flood- about forty or so. They all ran at me. I wanted to try out my new skill, unsure how it worked, as it wasn't a normal ability.
I'm not sure why, but I hadn't expected it to be so gruesome. Or effective.
The skill only hit the first couple, but the other rabbits halted in horror staring at me in fear.
I watched curiously as the rabbit's fur began to fall out rapidly and skin began to fall off slipping from bone. Still beating organs exposed, as they writhed in agony, slowly coming to a still. The skill continued until the rabbits were nothing more than a pile of bones.
What a horrifying skill. Am I some kind of villain???
A hot wind nearly knocked me over, and I saw Saber. He had picked up a handful of rabbits, (Abt 3 in each arm) seemingly not harming them.
Master. A voice bounced around in my head. I shivered.
"For me?"
He nodded.

"Uh, thanks ... Saber."
He seemed happy, a tail that I hadn't noticed before swishing slowly behind him. I don't think I could ever get used to him.
The next monster we came across was a goblin. A short creature, about four feet tall, with no clothes or weapons.
My kitchen knife was too dull to do any more damage, so I had no choice but to use my skill.
It left me tired and weak. I must have used all my Mana. In my previous life, I'd not had to worry about Mana against such weak creatures.
A fatal flaw in my new life- getting used to being weak again.
Sweating, I forced myself further in. I had to finish this quickly. The sooner the better.
Master.
A large paw rested on my shoulder, another on the small of my back.
Careful.
I flinched "uh..Yeah."
Saber walked ahead of me, killing the goblins without hesitation. I didn't like losing the EXP, but as I had no weapon or stamina, I didn't have a choice.
The boss monster was a hobgoblin. A semi-intelligent monster that could use magic.
Saber took the boss down easily as if it had taken it down a hundred times before. I ground my teeth.
Master.
He knelt down, holding out to me the loot from the boss. A scythe.
"A fucking scythe? How the fuck do I fight with that??" I muttered annoyed.
Though a popular weapon amongst gamers who wanted to be edgy, in a real battle, it was hard to use without a lot of practice and training.- and the few who tried usually ended up dead.
A screen popped up when I took it.

Shit. What a shitty title. Why did it have to be fucking scythes?!
I placed the weapon into my bag.

"Saber..can you . Uh change back into a cat?"
Cat?
"The creature you were before."
" Meow~" he changed back quickly. I felt a little bad because it sounded and looked painful.
" Does it hurt? "
Yes.
I regretted asking. Instead of continuing the conversation, I squatted down and gestured for him to climb onto me. He sat comfortably on my shoulders.
The weight was quite warm, though he grew heavy quickly.
I hurried home- the portal having no effect on my constitution this time.
