Chapter 275 - Udeaus!??

Chapter 275 - Udeaus!??

The next day, Mahiro entered the dungeon on time and joined Loki Familia.

Starting from the 31st floor, with the Loki Familia leading the way, the group progressed smoothly and reached the 37th floor after considerable time.

The 37th marks the boundary between the lower floors and the deep floors.

In entire Orario, only a handful of adventurers has reached this deep.

Many know the scenery of the 37th floor only through Guild records.

This floor earned its name due to its white walls and circular structure, resembling a castle.

It consists of five towering, concentric walls.

At the center of the floor, stairs lead to the next floor.

The area is almost as vast as a large city.

Even the Loki Familia is familiar only with the route between the entrance and exit.

Many areas remain unexplored.

"You idiot, can you stop darting around in front of me? It's annoying!"

Suddenly, Bete's irritable voice echoed.

His face twisted in frustration, eyes blazing as he glared at Tiona, looking ready to charge and knock her down.

"I'm just practicing Shunpo. If you don't like it, close your eyes!" Tiona retorted indignantly.

"Anyway, you can navigate by smell!"

Bete's temper flared.

He felt the frustration of a lifetime had been condensed into the past two days.

Mahiro, an outsider, irritated him.

His Familia irritated him.

It seemed the whole world was against him.

"You idiot Amazon, do I need to knock some sense into you?" Bete growled.

"Hey, you might not even beat me now!" Tiona shot back proudly, throwing him a provocative glance.

As a werewolf, Bete naturally moved at a blistering pace.

Even Ais, without using her Ariel, couldn't match his speed.

Tiona had always lagged behind Bete's agility.

But after learning Shunpo, she had overcome her speed disadvantage.

"Besides, Ais is practicing Shunpo too. Why aren't you calling her annoying?" Tiona added matter-of-factly, glancing at Ais beside her.

Shunpo wasn't just useful for close combat but also for swift movement.

Ais had practiced it diligently since Mahiro taught her.

"Sorry, Bete, for causing trouble," Ais said softly, pausing her steps.

"No, it's fine. Forget it," Bete muttered, deflating.

With nowhere to vent his anger, he lashed out by kicking a nearby monster out of his path.

"Careful, Bete!" Tiona teased, sticking out her tongue.

Before he could react, she used Shunpo and vanished ahead.

"You taught that idiot Amazon Shunpo, and now she's getting bolder by the second!" Bete's barely contained anger flared again.

With no other outlet, he shot Mahiro a venomous look.

Mahiro returned a pitying glance.

"That's rough," he said.

Bete froze, speechless.

"Still, it's impressive they mastered Shunpo so quickly in just one night," Mahiro remarked, watching Tiona and Ais.

"It won't be long before they can use it in combat."

"They barely slept last night. They were too excited practicing Shunpo," Riveria explained with a helpless smile, glancing at the pair.

"Looks like I picked the right students," Mahiro said, grinning.

"We're nearing the Udaeus's liar," Riveria said, her tone growing serious as they approached their destination.

"Mahiro, are you sure you want to challenge Udaeus alone?"

"It's already decided, isn't it?" Mahiro replied confidently.

Riveria nodded and said no more.

Suddenly, the group halted, their gazes fixed ahead.

A deep, dark canyon loomed before them, as if concealing something terrifying.

Steep, glacier-like cliffs flanked both sides, with only a narrow passage stretching into the distance, its end out of sight.

Using Shunpo, Ais and Tiona had already reached the canyon's entrance and stood waiting for the others.

"All Level 4 and Level 3 adventurers, stay outside."

"Level 5 adventurers, follow me," Finn ordered.

The Loki Familia had faced Udaeus several times and knew its strength.

Mahiro's plan to fight it alone carried slim odds of success, so Finn intended to bring support to observe.

"Hmph, let's see how you handle a monster rex," Bete sneered, hands behind his head as if unbothered.

"Don't come crying to us when Udaeus beats you bloody."

"Bete, you're so noisy," Tiona scoffed.

"Mahiro will be fine."

"Keep talking," Bete shot back coldly.

"Udaeus isn't some weakling."

"Forgot what we've been through? If not for Riveria's support, even we might've been wiped out."

Tiona's confident expression faltered, a flicker of worry crossing her face.

"It'll be fine," Mahiro said with a calm smile.

"Honestly, I'm curious to see just how strong a Level 6 monster rex really is."

With that, he stepped into the canyon first.

Instantly, the ground trembled.
