Third person POV
And then, James woke up, only to see that he was in bed in a bedroom. When he looked around, he saw that it was different and the style of it was like a Japanese.
"Woah…" he commented. "…am I…in an anime world?"
He then got up and started walking around the room.
First things first, he remembered that the goddess told him that she'll give him a new identity in this life, so he went around to search for any identification.
After much searching, he opened a drawer, only to see a passport and a school ID. He then picked them up and take a look at them, before opening the passport. The passport was from the Philippines, and his full name is Roxas Taka Barrio-Hamasaki.
"So this is my new identity in this world…" he thought. "How nice of her."
In the end, he accepted and embraced his new identity as Roxas Hamasaki.
Using his knowledge of names and namings systems from his previous life, he theorized that his father is Japanese while his mother is a Filipino due to their names being related to their possible home countries.
After that, he closed the passport and put it back into the drawer, before focusing on the school ID. Upon closer inspection, he saw that his school in this life is Kaibara Municipal High School, which is the school in the anime show "Fruits Basket". He was very surprised with shocked. "What the…in the actual…?" "Fruits Basket" is one of the anime shows that influenced him the most.
"Maybe that's why she chose this as my home world…" he thought.
He then uttered, "Thank you."
And so, knowing what to do, he grabbed his phone and checked what day it was.
It was Tuesday.
"Okay, I'll go and prepare for school then," he said to himself.
And he did, wearing his school uniform and preparing his school bag, which is a black messenger bag.
After that, he went downstairs to see and meet his new family in this life. There he saw them eating breakfast at the dining table. His father was watching a video while eating, and his mother making some coffee. And then, 2 kids, probably his younger siblings, are dressed in their school uniforms, and they are eating some fried eggs and yellow, fried, Java rice. Thinking that they are his new family in this life, he greeted, "Good morning."
They then looked at him.
"Good morning, anak."
"Morning, Roxas-kun."
"Good morning, oni-chan."
"Good morning, kuya."
Indeed, they are his new family in this life.
"Morning, guys," Roxas replied back, before entering the dining room and sitting with them to eat breakfast.
As Roxas eats, his father, Sato, gives him some chocolates while saying, "Advanced Happy Valentine's Day."
Upon seeing that, Roxas was surprised and looked at him. "For me?"
Today was the day before Valentine's Day.
"Yes," Sato replied back, "for your hard work, and I believed that Valentines' Day is not just a day for romance, but also a day for love and care for each other."
This is the thing Roxas believes in his previous life, so he readily agrees with him. "Yes."
"You may share it with anyone you know at school, too," his mother, Rosas, suggested.
"Yes, mom, I'll do just that."
He was right. By their looks, his father is Japanese and his mother is Filipino.
After breakfast, Roxas grabbed his bag and left the house. "I'm leaving." His parents then bid him goodbye and good luck as he left with his two younger siblings, Timothy and Hailey, for school. His first day in this new life was just beginning.
