"Hey, Luffy, you can't just invite everyone to join our crew. So far, you've already made us pretty strong," Zoro said to Luffy.
Luffy didn't take Zoro's words seriously. Instead, he grinned widely at his crew.
Though Luffy and his crew didn't stand out much to someone like Arthur, who had the power of the Thunder-Thunder Fruit, Luffy was still a rubber man. Arthur considered Luffy his best friend, so when Luffy invited him, Arthur simply smiled without giving a direct refusal.
At this point, joining Luffy could serve as a good cover for him. By pretending to be part of the Straw Hat Pirates, he wouldn't have to reveal his true identity anymore.
After thinking it over, Arthur nodded in agreement, though deep down, he hadn't truly decided on it.
Arthur's sudden decision caught Luffy off guard, leaving him momentarily unsure if it was really happening.
"Really? Are you actually willing to join the Straw Hat Pirates? If so, you can stay with us and travel with us!" Luffy said excitedly. "We've got the New World ahead of us, and our next destination is Wano Country. Not to mention, we still have some unfinished business there..."
Luffy spoke to Arthur with a serious expression. After hearing this, Arthur realized there were deeper issues related to Wano, and he was somewhat familiar with them.
"I know you're trying to revive the Moonlight Clan," Arthur said. "But in reality, reviving a family isn't that simple. As it stands, Wano is following a closed-door policy. Interacting with the outside world could have major consequences for them."
Arthur understood that Luffy and his crew meant well, but there was something they were overlooking. While they might resolve the apparent external conflicts in Wano, the internal struggles within the country would still remain unsolved.
"How can we address their internal conflict?" Arthur pondered. "It's not like we want to see Wano constantly fighting. Wano is a small island with limited resources, and most ships and caravans that pass by are often raided."
Under the moonlight, Luffy sat quietly, deep in thought. Despite being an unreliable captain, Luffy could still calm himself and think things through. Seeing Luffy act so patient, Arthur felt a little more at ease.
Eventually, with Nami leading the way, they arrived at Arthur's new room. Since they were about to embark on a new journey, Nami had prepared a fresh bedroom for him.
The new room was on the ground floor, very close to Luffy's. That way, if something happened, they could respond quickly.
"The situation in Wano has been unstable lately, and there are some dangerous people there," Nami said, pausing. "I thought it would be a good time to take advantage of the opportunity and head there."
Meanwhile, the crew set up some dolls around, hoping someone would come by and purchase them.
When there are people around, those kinds of individuals typically don't dare to make a move.
