Liang Yu seemed to recall something, then fiercely glared at Zhang Huasheng with disdain.
The exchanged glances in Liang Yu's eyes shifted and flickered repeatedly.
Moments later, Liang Yu firmly pinched Zhang Huasheng's arm, clearly dissatisfied with his reaction.
"What do you mean? Are you seriously thinking about not having the wedding? Let me warn you, this whole thing was your idea. Whether it's the wedding or the bride price, you can't cut corners on either."
She stroked her lower abdomen, her tone becoming even harsher.
"Also, if you're just trying to brush me off, I see no reason to keep this child. If it's born, who knows how you might neglect it? I refuse to be left with a child only to be kicked to the curb by you afterward."
Embarrassment washed over Zhang Huasheng's face; in front of Liang Yu, he seemed to have nowhere to hide.
He tugged at the corners of his mouth, offering nothing but weak reassurances.
