Behind them, Shang Wenshu and Zhao Qianze followed as well.
"Sheng, are you leaving now? That's too hasty! At the very least, you should have lunch—I've got everything ready on my end!" Shang Wenshu said urgently.
Initially, Bai Xiaosheng was an Affairs Officer, which meant he and Shang Wenshu were peers. However, they had shared a bond in Tiannan, and later on, Shang Wenshu had gone out of his way to help Bai Xiaosheng. Moreover, since Shang Wenshu was older than Bai Xiaosheng, it seemed appropriate, out of a sense of closeness, for Shang Wenshu to always call him "Sheng."
But, upon learning that Bai Xiaosheng had been promoted to Senior Affairs Officer, Shang Wenshu thought about changing how he addressed him, given that times had changed.
Bai Xiaosheng insisted that Shang Wenshu stick with the original form of address.
