The young man's corpse slammed heavily onto the ground with a muffled sound. The faces of the youths supporting the elderly man turned deathly pale in terror, and they could distinctly sense the shift in the surrounding gazes, growing more unsettling.
It all started with Belial's change in demeanor.
Staring at the corpse lying before him, the elderly man coughed violently, taking a long time to regain his composure.
Daring not to voice a single complaint, he bowed to Belial, who was seated on the divine throne, and then turned to leave with the remaining youths. Just as they exited the grand hall, the dead young man's body was thrown into a swarm of demonic beasts. Accompanied by the sounds of flesh and bone being torn apart, the corpse was quickly devoured to nothing.
