I don't know what method she used, but her speed didn't drop at all as she closed in on the Hell Gate.

Amidst furious roars, the black tide twisted into endless chains, madly wrapping around Wayne and Hexuno's bodies.

The ultimate move was instantly countered, the Lord of Envy's roar abruptly ceased, the tide fell into a sudden stillness, probably thrown into a state of confusion.
Even so, the Lord of Envy refused to give up. Bearing humiliation and biding his time until today, he would neither forsake nor abandon.
At the very least, he would drag someone down to Hell!
His gaze flickered back and forth between Wayne and Hexuno. As the two approached the exit of the Hell Gate, the Lord of Envy acted without hesitation, transforming into a black beam of light and blocking the collapsing gate.
Behind the gate, blinding light spilled forth, representing the mortal world and hope.
The Demon King himself guarded the gate!
