Gaven was not surprised by this situation, as it was normal. Even if they were highly talented, they were still just a bunch of immature little Gnolls. It's impossible for them to produce a heap of scientific research outcomes; most of them were still in the learning phase.

The entire Dragon Oak Mother Tree housed over forty-five thousand Gnolls, but only half were adult Gnolls, and the rest were all little Gnolls hatched here.
Although these little Gnolls weren't as formidable as Wilderness Kobolds, their overall quality was certainly higher than average Gnolls. Since they were still in the developmental stage, both their external and intrinsic attributes were not yet fully formed. Thus, it was impossible to provide a substantial comparison, only against unhatched Gnolls of the same age group.
