With his brother sending him a message asking to meet up, Will made his way to the building serving as the operational headquarters of the Society of Excellence, a large ballroom with a lavishly adorned parlor for business dealings and private discussions.
"You've arrived," said David, sporting a refined smile as he rose to his feet and greeted Will with a handshake and a shoulder clasp.
"Through hail or high waters," responded Will, reciprocating the gesture before he and David took their seats. A buxom, cat-eared Maid moved to serve them tea, coffee, and a variety of snacks, so Will accepted a cup of black coffee and a small tray of biscotti as his brother explained, "I asked you here to discuss your future with the Society of Excellence. "You know I'm not really into that kind of stuff," reminded Will. "But since you're the one who's asking, what, exactly, do you need me to do?"
