"The Silvermoon Inn." One of the finest Inn's in the Azure Academy campus, patronizing mainly the wealthy students and sometimes the Professor's and Masters.
When the three of the young people got inside, they were quite surprised to see the simple yet elegant interiors of the hotel, there were three floors in the Inn.
The ground floor, where people can sit and eat in their tables like in any othe Inn's. The first floor had many private rooms which could accommodate for a couple and upto 8 people. The second floor had the larger private rooms ment for small get-togethers and celebration.
Reservations for the private rooms were necessary as they were usually in demand. If lucky sometimes private rooms at the first floors will be available. But for the second floor gathering rooms, reservation were a must. These rules were in place to avoid conflicts between groups of students.
Even though there was a sign indicating the availability of the private rooms in the first floor, the three of them sat at an empty table in the ground floor not bothering opting for any private room.
Phoenix noticed that, there were a few familiar faces in the crowd. A few were from their own batch and a few seniors whom they met during the first day. The ones who entered the academy with them waved their hands at Phoenix with smiles but didn't disturb them. The seniors also nodded their head at Phoenix. He acknowledged all their greetings with a smile on his face.
" You seemed to be famous, Nic. Especially amongst the ladies." Kate teased him with a wry smile.
"Exactly, he is quite famous. I had over heard from a few girls about asking him out for tea or for lunch." Samantha also added with a grin.
Pheonix covered his face with his hands and sighed, then he looked up and said with a solemn expression. "Just to be clear, Ladies. I don't know about those things and I am absolutely not looking to be in any romantic relationships for now. My goals are different."
Both of the girls looked at each others and burst out laughing, at the expression on Pheonix's face, attracting others attention towards their table. This laughter of theirs also attracted a boy's attention who had a rubbing with Pheonix on his first day.
With a sneer on his face, the boy strutted towards Pheonix's table talking loudly. " What a surprise, the begger had came to the luxury hotel!? I believe these two beauties are feeding you for keeping them entertained." All the people in the ground floor turned to look at the sneering voice. And those who recognised the boy had a disgusted look on their faces. Especially the girls.
"Hello beauties, I am Logan Mason. Son of Hershal Mason. You might have heard about my father. He is one of the wealthiest and influential man. Why are you wasting your time and energy entertaining this looser of a man. Come with me. I have a private room booked in the first floor. We can have a great time." Logan leered at the girls. His eyes filled with eagerness and lust.
" Ah brother logan. Long time no see! How have you been these past few days? I thought you might have been ended up in the healing hall because of that foul mouth of yours. Alas, I think all the seniors in the Academy didn't wanted to get their hand dirty by touching you." Pheonix said with a mocking bow. This made all the ones who knew about the boy burst out laughing.
"Logan is it? I would still stay and die alone if you were the last man alive in this entire world." Samantha said in disgust. This brought out another round of laughter and a chorus of "here.... here...." From almost every girl in the floor.
Red faced, in anger and shame, Logan strode towards Samantha with a menacing look. "This begger is a dead man walking. I will make sure about it. How dare you talk about me in such a manner. I will disfigure your face and will make my servents rape you day and night you bloody whore." As soon as this last word came out of his mouth, he drew a sharp hunting knife from his waist, raised his hand and tried slashing at Samantha's face.
All the students there were stunned by this sudden and violent attack from this hefty boy. A few seniors and even the hotel staff tried to move forward in an attempt to stop the boy, but they were far away from the scene to do anything.
Even though, Samantha was strong and capable of defending herself, she was taken aback by the sudden attack which came out of nowhere and closed her eye instinctively. Before the blade came an inch near to Samantha, the knife stopped moving and a silence fell in the hotel.
The pain Samantha expected to come didn't came even after a few seconds. Slowly, she opened her eyes and saw the knife howering infront of her cheeks and Logan struggling to free his hand from Pheonix's grip.
Let me go, you begger. After that Logan took out another dagger and stabbed at Pheonix's left hand that was holding his wrist.
Although Pheonix could have easily deflected it, he let the blade pierece his foreram.
Gasps and loud cry rang out all around the Inn.
"Noooo....." Both Kate and Samantha cried out along with their batchmates and few other seniors who had came to know Pheonix.
"Logan Mason. I let it slide when you insulted me. I don't even care about you attacking me now. But you want to attack a lady and talk in such a manner towards their character?" After saying it, Pheonix slightly pressed his hand down.
"Crack..." A loud bone breaking sound was heard in the silent Inn. And Logan started to howl in pain. But still Pheonix didn't let his hand go.
"Seniors, what is the punishment for the person who badmouths and try to assult someone inside the campus?"
"Let us take him to the headmaster Pheonix. We will make sure he is expelled from the academy. Let his fate be a leason to all who tries to harm innocent people, irrespective of their station or gender." The same senior girl Tina and her friend Diana whom he spoke on his first day said and then walked towards them took a scarf from around her neck and bind Logan's hands behind his back unceremoniously. Which made him cry out of pain again.
How is your arm? Samantha took out her scarf and started to dab it around the wound her eyes filled with tears.
"I am completely fine Samantha, it's just a scratch." After saying that, he pulled out the knife from him arm and the blood spurt out immediately. He then pressed in a couple of places which stopped the flow of blood and samantha carefully bind the wound. And after that a great round of applause rang out around him.
Everyone were applauding, including the Inn staffs and even the owner of the Inn when they saw an old but energetic man enter the Inn with a smile and clapping his hand, the crowd stood up and bowed deeply. It was the headmaster of the Azure Academy.
