"First-level combat readiness!"
Shayol issued the command to the 277th Fighter Squadron.
This squadron was not stationed at Barling Base, but thousands of kilometers away, at Diego Garcia Base in the depths of the ocean.
The base is the only and extremely important strategic base in the Indian Ocean.
Its geographical location is extremely crucial: 2,000 kilometers to the east lies Nanhui Continent, 1,000 kilometers north one can reach India, and 3,000 kilometers west one can arrive at the important energy trade route of the Persian Gulf, making it especially suitable for the stationing of long-range strategic bombers.
After many years of expansion and renovation, the base can even accommodate carrier strike groups for rest and repairs. It normally hosts a large number of fighters, tankers, transport aircraft, and there is also a constant presence of attack nuclear submarines for training.
