"Y-you mean…you mean this…thing thing…was a human?"
Damon asked, distraught. He had attacked and killed this thing under the assumption that it was a danger to society. But if he should believe Sol, this thing was just an unfortunate human, maybe even someone like him, who dreamt of becoming a sorcerer and having fun.
"Yes, it was a human at some point," replied Sol in a low tone. But he followed that soon up in a sterner voice.
"But, not anymore Damon. Although I can't say what kind of human he had been, I can assure you, once cursed, they all become monsters."
With great difficulty Damon calmed his mind down a bit. It did help that he himself believed the creature to be foul, but still some guilt lingered inside his heart. From the first day he arrived in this world he had wondered whether he would have to kill humans.
