Zhang Jianguo didn't speak. It was only after he had slowly smoked an entire cigarette that he finally began to speak, "Qin Jian has been glorified."
"What?" Zhang Lanxiang suddenly froze, "What did you say? Glorified? What does that mean?"
"Do you not know what 'being glorified' means?" Zhang Jianguo stared with bloodshot eyes at Zhang Lanxiang, "Being glorified means sacrificed, it means the thing you're afraid of in your heart."
"How could this be possible? How could this be?" Zhang Lanxiang became agitated; she couldn't believe it no matter what, "Old Zhang, how could Qin Jian be glorified? How could he?"
"Why couldn't he? He was a human being, a flesh and blood human being!" Tears slowly streamed down Zhang Jianguo's cheeks.
Zhang Lanxiang collapsed onto the chair with a thud, looking completely soulless.
