Chapter 369 - Chapter 366 : Next Target!!

Underneath the Cassell College's Norma Mainframe Operating Room, there's a forbidden zone no one can enter without the principal's approval.

The remains of the Dragon King, transported from the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, were secretly brought here.

As for the use and specific research on the Dragon King's bones, all of it was temporarily suppressed by Hilbert in the name of the Board of Trustees.

However, this has made the 'Equipment Department' quite upset, and they even tried several times to break into the storage room and steal some of the Dragon King's bones. Fortunately, this idea remained on paper and was quickly shut down by Hilbert.

Several professors raised objections, but without exception, Hilbert forcefully rejected them.

This caused dissatisfaction among people like Manstein, Guderian, and Schneider, but ultimately, due to Hilbert's authority, they had to abandon their ideas.

Apart from Norton, the most talked-about subject among the students was the new student who was designated as the 'S' Rank by the principal — Lu Mingfei, who caused an uproar in Cassell for killing one of the Four Kings.

Although the details were kept secret, the fact that Lu Mingfei was recognized as the key figure in the mission and that both the Lionheart Club and the Student Council leaders had extended olive branches to him caused a stir on Cassell's forum, with many speculating about who this 'Lu Mingfei' could be.

It can basically be said that even before officially enrolling, Lu Mingfei had already gained a large fanbase.

The world of Hybrids can be complicated, but in this academy, the belief in the supremacy of the strong is widespread, and Lu Mingfei clearly meets that standard.

For a time, rumors spread all over the forum, and the war of words began.

What was particularly amusing was that some people seized the opportunity to bet whether this newly debuted S-Rank would be able to beat Chu Zihang, kick Caesar, and suppress the current generation of Hybrids to become the young leader.

Of course, Chu Zihang and Caesar's popularity was unquestionable, completely overshadowing this new S-rank student.

Nono scrolled through the posts on the forum, sitting cross-legged in the dorm, unable to hold back her laughter. "Hahaha, I really want to know what that S-rank will think when they see this."

After coming back, she did some research on Lu Mingfei again and found herself more and more intrigued by this younger student.

If the other students saw the smile on Nono's face right now, they would probably shiver in fear. After all, being targeted by the 'Little Witch' doesn't exactly mean anything good.

As for Caesar, he's been quite busy lately.

Originally recovering from injuries, he suddenly received a message from the Gattuso family, claiming it might be related to his father, the charming playboy Pompeo Gattuso. So, he rushed back to Europe in a hurry.

Chu Zihang's injuries were quite severe, and due to the deep extent of his dragon transformation, he was placed in a separate room with no visitors allowed.

Accustomed to loneliness, he didn't complain much about it. However, recently he had been plagued by strange dreams.

In these dreams, he found himself back at Shilan High School, reliving his school days.

But the only difference was, this time in the dream, there was a quirky girl by his side, always talking non-stop, as if she had an endless supply of energy.

The girl stayed with him for a long time, but no matter how hard Chu Zihang tried to remember, he couldn't recall her appearance, as if a filter had been placed over it.

Her temperament and personality made him feel like he had seen her before, but he couldn't figure out where.

Creak…

At that moment, the closed door was pushed open.

Chu Zihang, interrupted in his thoughts, turned and his eyes lit up slightly when he saw who had entered: "It's you."

"Yeah, I came to visit you. Are you touched?" The visitor had soft, slightly curly light golden hair, a warm aura like the sun. His lips curled up in a slight smile, revealing a gentle expression. His clear, light golden eyes resembled a serene mountain stream, easily calming his somewhat disordered mind.

Adam Anglewid... No, he should now be the new 'White King'!

The academy's rule forbidding outsiders from visiting didn't apply to White King, of course. There was no restriction on him at all.

Actually, who becomes the "White King" doesn't matter to Chu Zihang. His hatred for the Dragon Clan is rooted in Odin and that rainy night, so he doesn't resist it as strongly as Caesar does.

"Thank you."

Chu Zihang forced a smile, but the fierce expression on his face was quite terrifying.

"No need to thank me."

Adam walked to the bedside and casually placed the flowers he brought into the vase.

"Now, can you tell me the answer?"

Though he was anxious inside, Chu Zihang's tone remained calm. However, the anxiety and impatience flashing in his burning golden eyes betrayed his inner thoughts.

"Chu Tianjiao?" Adam tilted his head, looking at Chu Zihang lying on the bed.

"Yes."

Chu Zihang nodded without hesitation.

He really wanted to know where his father was and if he was still alive.

Since that stormy night a year and a half ago, it was as if he had been trapped on that elevated bridge, unable to escape the shadow hanging over him.

With Odin wearing an iron mask and the gray-white giant dragon, these were the only clues he had to find his father's whereabouts. From that moment, he relentlessly fought, constantly pushing himself to the brink of life and death, all in pursuit of finding his father. The answer he desperately sought was right in front of him!

"Last time, you said you would see him again soon." Chu Zihang added.

"Haven't you already seen him?"

Adam quietly gazed at him and said, "Right on that elevated bridge."

Boom!

Chu Zihang felt as if a bolt of lightning struck his mind.

He stared blankly, his entire being in a dazed state, as if shocked by electricity, then suddenly started trembling uncontrollably.

"You mean..." Chu Zihang's pupils filled with blood, and a twisted, cruel expression flickered in his eyes, as if he had fallen into an endless abyss. His voice was hoarse: "The 'Odin' on the overpass... is my father, Chu Tianjiao?"

Adam patted his shoulder, 'calming' the turbulent thoughts in Chu Zihang's mind, and spoke softly, "Don't worry, Chu Tianjiao isn't dead. He was just reduced to a puppet of the true Odin."

Upon hearing this, a glimmer of hope appeared in Chu Zihang's eyes. He cautiously looked at Adam, his lips trembling: "Really... Really?"

"Absolutely."

Adam grinned.

It was a skeleton, radiating a heavy bronze color.

Like a craft made from pure copper, the skull's eye sockets contained crystallized eyeballs, resembling a pair of golden glass beads.

Although it looked like a human skeleton, upon closer inspection, it was vastly different.

Nearly a thousand thin bones were interwoven; some fused with each other, while others formed organs never seen before.

Two delicate bones in the back spread open like a fan, once capable of tearing through the sky as wings.

The skeleton's arms were spread out and intertwined, gripping the wing bones behind it. Its head hung low, as if mourning, like Jesus nailed to the cross.

"Is this the Dragon King's Norton's Dragon Bone Cross?"

Hilbert's eyes seemed to burn with flames as he reached out to touch the Dragon King's skeleton through a specially-made tempered glass bottle.

Every Dragon King, upon death, turns into a Dragon Bone Cross. The power within their bones and blood is sealed inside, a way of passing on the dragon's legacy.

It's enough to drive both hybrids and purebloods mad, because once they acquire and consume the Dragon Bone Cross, they can inherit the powers within!

Even though it was through thick, special glass, Hilbert could still feel the deep longing from within his bloodline.

"According to our agreement, Norton's Dragon Bone Cross is yours."

Hilbert's voice was low, speaking as if he was certain someone was there, even though the surroundings were empty. He casually said, "Now, can you tell me who the next target is?"

"The King of Earth and Mountains."

A voice suddenly appeared in the vast collection room.

Upon hearing this, Hilbert raised an eyebrow and said, "I thought it would be the King of Sky and Wind."

"He has a bigger role to play."

The voice echoed again, carrying an indescribable tone, "The most delicious things are often saved for last, aren't they?"
