The core began to shine brightly, pulsing with an almost blinding light, but then, as quickly as it had started, the glow faded away, leaving it dull and lifeless once more.
Gariel furrowed his brow, clearly perplexed by the phenomenon. "Alex, what are you going to do with this now?" he asked, his eyes fixed on Alex, searching for answers.
Alex took a deep breath, his gaze lingering on the fragments before he reached out and picked them up. "I'll keep it safe," he said firmly. With a flick of his hand, the fragments vanished into his inventory, disappearing from sight. He turned back to Gariel and the others. "For now, it's better this stays hidden. Until we know what it's truly capable of—or how to control it."
Gariel nodded slowly, though his expression remained one of concern. "Let's hope you're right. If that core can reassemble itself... we might be dealing with something far more dangerous than we realize."
