Although Yan Ping returned to the Mystical Qilin Sect, Anji thought nothing had changed after two weeks. Everyone was still as busy, and Yan Ping did not allow her to leave the hut they shared. However, Anji soon learned why.
"My debut?"
Chuckling at the child's cluelessness, Yan Ping decided it was time to tell her what was happening in the sect, or at least part of it.
"Of course," she smiled. "What kind of sect would we be if we did not hold a successor announcing ceremony? Now, quickly choose. Which fabric do you prefer? We need to make a ceremonial robe for formal events and your regular clothes in the sect. Unfortunately, the Mystical Qilin Sect only allows successors to wear white. The other colours, red, yellow, green and blue, are for researchers from different districts. Grey robes are for retired sect members and black for outer court apprentices."
