"I always loved him. I've been worshipping the ground he walked since childhood," Angela was sitting in the drawing room with Abigail sitting across her.
"I thought that you were some random girl, who was trying to get close to Alex. Didn't know that you were…" Angela chewed her lower lip, "I'm sorry… I'm here to apologize because if you won't forgive me then Sinclairs will never let me set foot here."
Oh. So, this is the reason you're apologizing. And here I thought you were truly ashamed.
"Abigail," Angela came to Abi and sat on the floor near her feet, "Please forgive me. I'm so sorry. Believe me, I am not able to sleep at nights. This guilt that I hurt you so much it's… it's killing me, Abigail."
Angela had started crying but now Abi had become sensible. She knew they were nothing but crocodile tears.
May my brother be protected from every witch out there.
She made a silent prayer and then tried to smile, "It's ok, Angela…" She held her wrists trying to free her feet.
