Damien led a very small life. In an already very short life, he lived it even shorter with the way he lived it. Until he turned eleven, his entire life revolved around his family. He always felt out of place at school, so he never made any friends. Even when others approached him to be friends, he denied any chance of them entering his life.
He found friendship burdensome. That was just how it was for him. He wasn't antisocial. He was very social among his age group, and when needed, he'd lead a pretty good conversation, but that was the limit. A simple conversation.
Past that, he couldn't let anyone enter his life. But, like all young boys, he had crushes as well. He liked a girl in his life, and that didn't end very well for him, but that was a story for another time.
