"Hurry up, hurry up, everyone hurry up."
Dinaia pushed and pulled Evelyn around as she kept her eyes on the time. If they had to be late to the wedding, at least they had to try not to be too late, right?
Evelyn had also lost much of her calm, unable to remain as casual and relaxed as before. She was pushed onto the chair before the dressing table as her best friend made the hired staff work at twice the normal speed. Hair, makeup… Thankfully, the latter had no need to be too heavy, and the nails had already been done prior. Thankfully too, the staff seemed not to be unaccustomed to emergencies, and most probably, it was not only Evelyn who had ever run late for her own wedding.
As the preparations were preliminarily done, it was time to wear the gown that had been designed just for the occasion. Money not being able to buy happiness was a lie. It just took the finesse to know how to use it, and the gown, no matter how much it had cost, was beautiful enough to bring happiness.
