Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

The café wasn't that busy today. Even though it was just past lunch, it was pretty quiet. Alex was busy wiping down a recently vacated table when he felt a tap on his shoulder. Instinctively he backed away, looking up. He was frozen on the spot by eyes as deep as the ocean. He was staring at the most beautiful man he's ever laid eyes on, he looked like he just walked out of a model magazine.

He was tall, with broad shoulders and a well sculpted body, you could tell by the way his shirt streched over his chest and shoulders. He had midnight black hair, deep blue eyes and a face straight out of a fantasy novel. Alex couldn't help but stare, he's never seen anyone like him before. But he wasn't the only one staring. The man was staring at him too, like he was seeing an ethereal creature. His thoughts were the same as Alex's, he's never seen anyone as beautiful as the omega standing in front oh him.

Composing himself first, Alex cleared his throat. "Can I help you?" he asked in a breathless voice.

The man cleared his throat too. "I'm looking for Mitch."

His voice was as soft as velvet. The way he was looking at Alex made him blush a light pink, and his voice just added to it.

"Oh, she's in her office at the back," Alex pointed behind him, his eyes never leaving the strangers face.

"Thank you," he said with a smile and walked in the direction of the office.

Alex couldn't help but follow the mans figure. He wondered who that was, but he couldn't wonder for long before a customer came in and he had to get back to work.

In Mitch's office

Kyle knocked on the door, he walked in without waiting for a answer.

"Oh, sure. Come on in." Mitch said without looking up.

"I see you have a new hire." he voiced his thoughts after a moment of silence.

Mitch looked up at him with a boring look, but seeing him staring at the door seemingly lost, her expression turned to one of warning.

"Dont even think about it, Kyle."

He turned to her, a slow smirk crept to his mouth, she narrowed her eyes in a dangerous way.

"What? I just noticed when I came in. You never mentioned him."

"I don't have too. It's my business, who I hire has nothing to do with you," she let out a breath, her voice gentler, " besides, he's been through some things. I'm not going to let you torture him too. He's too innocent for that."

Something in the way she said that made him frown. The only person his sister ever cared for really was her mate. What was it about this omega that made her look at him like that.

" What do you mean? " he was curious.

Mitch let out a heavy sigh, looking up from her papers, "It isn't for me to tell you. All I can say is, Sam would kill you and gut me if I let you close to him." her expression turned thoughtful as she added," she'd probably skin anyone alive if they tried to hurt him. "

Kyle felt a shudder run through him, he knew how Sam was, but he couldn't help but wonder about the little thing.

He really was a beauty, he looked like he belonged in a different dimension. His skin was so pale and smooth, his face perfectly sculpted, his lashes naturally long, his big brown eyes, his lips rosy. His body looked like it might break if you weren't careful enough. He was fragile and soft, like a fairy or pixie. Everything about him naturally beautiful and...

He shook his head a little as if to clear his thoughts. He's never thought about someone like this. Especially someone he just met or hardly met, but there was something about him that just felt right, like a memory or something, he didn't really know. He couldn't place it, but he knew he wanted to know more.

"So what can I do for you today, my dear brother," Mitch said pulling him from his thoughts.

He looked at her and smiled. " It's what I can do for you, my lovely sister. How about you come over for dinner Friday."

Mitch looked at him, suspicion clear in her eyes," Why? Your planning something, arent you?"

Kyle faked shock at her words, "I would never," he huffed, "but..."

"I knew it, I knew there was a but. There always is something. So what is you want this time?"

" Nothing. Mother said she missed having het kids around, and invited us for dinner."

"No that isn't it. She invited YOU. You just want me to come along because she won't bug you about getting married. When Sam and I are ther she'll bug us about kids and babies and stuff." she shudderd, "God knows I've had enough of that."

Kyle only smiled, "Great, so I'll see you guys on Friday."

Je got up an walked to the door.

"Wait, I didn't say yes..."

Before she could argue further he was out the door, heading to the exit

He stopped at the cafe entrance and looked back. He looked at the omega busy taking orders from a table. His breath hitched when Alex smiled at the older lady who sat at the table. He was even more breath taking. With that image in his mind he left, knowing he won't soon forget it.
