" you were snooping through my things?."
Ava clenched her fists into tight balls. " Ava, I saw you taking birth control pills in Poland, so how did you end up getting pregnant? Forget about that for a moment, is it mine?."
Ava finally lost it when he questioned her loyalty towards him. She sharply glared at Zain giving him killer shots.
" Are you calling me a whore? Do you think I had s*x with someone other than you whilst being in a relationship with you...are you questioning my loyalty?."
" Just answer my question. Avaline."
Ava gave a dry chuckle... which followed by a loud laughter as tears kept dropping from her eyes, that unbelievable laugh suddenly went mute, her face turning serious, her smile long dead and gone. Her teary eyes stared deep into his pitch black eyes and said with outer most anger and disappoinment.
" F*CK YOU."
She said to his face still staring into those blank nonchalant eyes. She dashed out of the room in tears.
" F*ck!"
Zain crashed the whiskey glass to the floor, breaking in tiny pieces.
" Zain, what happened I just saw Ava running out of the house in tears?."
" Not now, Lucas."
" Did you guys get into a fight?."
" I said not now, can you please leave." Zain ran his fingers cross his messy damp hair. Lucas hesitated but then left.
Realizing what he just did, Zain worried Ava might get herself into trouble, or worse. It is dark out and he has no idea where she's run off to. He grabs his phone to call her.
' the user has their phone switched off please leave a voicemail.'
" Shit, pick up baby girl."
He tried again, but the call went straight to voicemail. " F*ck."
Zain rushed out of the room with his car keys, he got into his car while dialing Emma's phone.
' Zain?.'
' Emma, did you perhaps talk to Ava?.'
' we talked when she was still at the office.'
' what of now, didn't she phone you?.'
' no, did something happen... didn't she get home?.'
' I'll talk later.'
' Zain-
He cut the call speeding off, not exactly knowing where to start from.
" Oh wait, her grandparents house."
Zain accelerated at top speed into the bright city lights, driving to the Anderson Main Estate. He stopped in front of the house and rushed to the door step pressing the door bell twice, one of the servants opened the door and decided to let him In knowing who he was.
" Is Ava here?."
Zain asked, praying in his heart he would find her here or else he'll surely go crazy.
" She is, but she doesn't want to see anyone at the moment Mr Woods."
" Can you inform her I'm here."
" I'm sorry, she gave direct orders not to let you in if you were to come here."
" Please...allow me to see her."
" Zain, dear... what brings you here so late?."
" Ms Anderson, good evening."
Zain gave a polite greeting. " Evening." She responded.
" I came to see Ava... please allow me to see her."
" Ah, she just fell asleep after crying to much, I don't know what you guys fought about and it's not in my place to question you, but you're two grown adults and you can handle it. I trust you with my granddaughter Zain, I know how much she loves and respects you, I have seen true change since she met you."
" I feel like have messed up, Grandmother, and at this point I feel like have lost Ava."
" Did something happen?."
She asked, Zain hesitated for some time before telling her what happened. She nodded knowingly and understood. As the eldest it was her responsibility to guide the young couple and advice them, but in the end it's all up to them to come to a decision on whether or not to fix things...or leave it just as it is.
" I understand, Grandmother...thank you, please look after her for me."
Zain nodded after listening to what Ms Anderson said to him. He returned to his car driving back home.
Next Morning...
Emma drove to her grandparents house to see Ava, she wanted to go there last night but Alec stopped her saying it was too late out, she couldn't sleep the entire night just thinking about it. Not to mention she was reconsidering whether or not to go to the trip Alec had arranged for them, ' how can she go on a relaxing trip when her sister was in shambles?'
Upon reaching her grandparents house she hurried inside and into the room Ava was staying in.
" Ava!"
" You came." Ava sat up in bed, her eyes swollen and puffy.
" Of course I did, I'm here for you."
Emma went to give her a comforting hug. " I'm so pissed with him, Em."
" Everything will be fine, don't stress yourself out... especially your baby."
" Ava dear, I have your breakfast here with me."
Their grandma's voice echoed outside the door, she went inside with a tray of food and fruit juice.
" Hi grandma."
" Emma honey, how are you?."
" Fine, how are you?."
" Healthy as a horse dear." She smiled laying the food on the small table, turning to Ava.
" Did you consider what I told you child?."
" Grandma please."
" No Avaline, yes... what Zain said to you was unthinkable and disrespectful. But that child will need both it's parents, don't take that away from it, you know how that's like right...both you and your sister, think about it."
She said before leaving the room. " She's right you know, I saw how In anguish Zain is in, the regret in his eyes... he's in pain."
" And I'm the one not suffering, who's not feeling pain?."
" Ava, this isn't about the two of you alone... Your baby is involved to."
Ava puffs her cheeks stubbornly. " Honestly you act like a stubborn child sometimes, I won't always be here you know, what if I die someday?." Emma teased.
" Don't joke like that, of course you'll be here with me little sister, you won't be getting rid of me that easily."
Ava giggles hugging her tight and giving her kisses all over her face. Emma laughed telling her to stop.
The Next two weeks...
Emma enjoyed the senary on the private yart, watching the sun set with the man she loved in the entire world, her gleaming smile made Alec's entire life light up. It was beautiful like the Autumn season between summer and winter, he could stare at her forever without a blink. And suddenly this feeling always feels like a dream, a nightmare that crashed his poor heart over and over again.
