šŗĀ Scene ā Breaking News
News Broadcaster (on TV):
"It's with great relief and excitement that we report Melissa Shield has been safely returned home ā thanks to none other than the elusive vigilante⦠Spider-Man!"
Click.
The TV goes black.
š“ļøĀ Scene ā All For One's Lair
In the shadows of a hidden underground base, All For One leans back in his chair, fingers steepled. The glow from the monitor reflects in his visor.
All For One (calmly):
"Well⦠that plan was a failure. I was hoping to push All Might to the brink. Maybe even test the Nomu against him if he showed upā¦"
He lets out a low chuckle.
All For One:
"But instead⦠Spider-Man showed up."
A grin slowly stretches across his face.
All For One (murmuring):
"And from what I've seen⦠he might just have the makings of a true successor."
He presses a button on the desk. A screen lights up.
Dr. Garaki (answering the call):
"Yes, Master? I haven't located any new, noteworthy quirks lately, if that's what you're after."
All For One (chuckling):
"No, not this time, Doctor. I have a different request."
He leans in slightly.
All For One:
"I want you to begin observing Spider-Man. Study his movements, his technology, his patterns. There's something special about him. So much power ā wasted on saving others."
šØāš§Ā Scene ā David & Melissa Shield
Melissa sits on the edge of the couch, still a bit shaken but safe. She turns to her father.
Melissa (softly):
"Dad⦠what do you think of Spider-Man?"
David (pausing):
"We don't know who he is or where he came from⦠but what I do know is that he brought you back. Alive. Safe. And I'll never forget that."
He walks to the window with her. Just then, a red-and-blue blur swings past the skyline, chased by the wail of sirens.
David (whispering):
"He's out there. Still fighting."
šĀ Scene ā A Chase Downtown
Spider-Man lands on top of a speeding car, boots slamming down on the roof.
Spider-Man (cheerfully):
"Evening, fellas! You do know there's a speed limit in this part of town, right?"
Crook (from inside):
"I ain't takin' orders from no bug!"
The window rolls down. A pistol flashes. Bullets fly.
Spider-Man flips backward, narrowly dodging the gunfire.
Spider-Man (quipping):
"Geez! Didn't your mom ever teach you gun safety?"
With a flick of his wrist, a web snatches the weapon and yanks it out of the man's hand. Spider-Man flips in front of the car and plants his feet ā the tires screech as he brings the vehicle to a jarring stop with brute strength.
Police cars surround the scene.
Officer:
"Hands where we can see them!"
As the crooks are cuffed, Spider-Man slings a web to the nearest building and launches back into the city.
š·ļøĀ Scene ā Andrew's Room
Andrew slips back through his bedroom window, mask in hand. He sighs, peeling off the last of his suit.
Andrew (muttering):
"God⦠what a day. At least my grades are holding up. Barely."
He hides his suit behind a shelf of spare parts and half-finished web-shooter prototypes.
Andrew:
"Yeah⦠won't be needing that for a while."
He collapses onto his bed and is out in seconds.
The door creaks open. Inko peeks in, watching her son sleep. Her face is soft ā but deeply worried.
Inko (thinking):
"You've been coming home more tired every day⦠pushing yourself too hard. I just wish I knew why."
She gently closes the door.
Inko (whispering):
"Good night, my son."
