"How did she end up on that pirate ship over there?"
The Eternal Pose was left inside the Den Den Mushi City fortress, and Liam jumped onto the pirate ship outside. Whether on the deck or in the air around, he indeed couldn't find Koala's trace.
"She and I were practicing the Elementalization of the Gasu Gasu No Mi (Gas Gas Fruit). She seemed to really enjoy the feeling of turning into gas and flying in the sky, and before I knew it, she flew a bit too far…"
Robin and Liam walked to the bow of the ship together. Liam looked out at the sea ahead and indeed saw a fairly large pirate ship heading their way.
The distance was close, and it seemed the other side had already spotted their small ship and was intentionally sailing toward them.
Liam casually snapped his fingers twice behind him. B.I.B. naturally understood and steered the ship, heading toward the approaching pirate vessel.
"Chirp~~"
A seabird flew overhead.
Robin's heart stirred, and she looked up, her gaze following the black seabird that had just flown past. She crossed her hands and activated her Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) ability.
On the small ship, Robin's hand flicked, and petals surged in her palm, condensing into a lifelike black seabird, identical to the one that had just flown overhead, except for the lack of eyes.
Seeing this, Liam said, "Oh, I forgot to ask. Back on that island, how did you take down those self-defense soldiers?"
"Just like this," Robin smiled. "As they charged at me, each of their clothes had one of my hairs stuck to it… As long as something created by the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) touches the target, it can log their information and use Taka Jizai to replicate the target, or part of it."
"Ah~~ Impressive, Robin Sama," Liam drawled, stroking his chin. "Your mastery of the ability is so refined that even I didn't notice it at the time."
Robin smiled and tossed the Taka Jizai·Blind Seabird into the air. Under her control, the blind flower bird flapped its wings, petals swirling from its forehead to reveal one of Robin's eyes, and feathers on its neck parted to reveal Robin's ear. With a flap of its wings, the blind flower bird flew toward the pirate ship ahead.
"But achieving that effect back then… something similar to Haoshoku Haki's impact, wasn't easy," Liam recalled. "I remember you were just walking, hmm… very cool, very stylish, but you must have done something, right? Otherwise, why did they all collapse with such pained expressions? Hey, did you replicate a bunch of eggs and crush them?"
"Liam, that's too vulgar," Robin shook her head.
"How is it vulgar? It's clearly an efficient method. Besides, if it wasn't an egg-crushing attack, why did those soldiers fall so decisively?"
"It's just that you don't understand the human body well enough…" Robin slung her bag over her shoulder and placed Little Green, who had been idling on the deck, into the bag. She whispered something to Little Green, and inside the bag, Little Green opened its mouth, "click-clacking" as it modified and assembled a bunch of axes, knives, forks, electric saws, and cutting wheels. "There are many ways to make a person collapse instantly…"
Liam fell silent. At the time, which parts of those soldiers had Robin replicated, how many parts, and what kind of devastation had they endured in Little Green's enthusiastic black factory… Considering Robin's unfathomably dark and twisted nature, and the fact that Taka Jizai doesn't actually harm others…
"In that case, it's like you've got Haoshoku Haki too," Liam said optimistically, patting Robin's head. "You have it, Hancock has it, how come I don't have it?"
"Shh," Robin let him pat her head but reminded him to keep his voice down. "I see Koala, hehe…"
She laughed after seeing the situation clearly.
.........
"Captain! She… she… she…" A member of the Steel Helmet Pirate Crew came running.
"She she she what?! What's going on?" The Steel Helmet Captain, Aps, was a burly and imposing figure, gazing out at the sea, especially at the small pirate ship not far away. Though small, even a small fish has meat, and meat is meant to be eaten; otherwise, what's the point of being a pirate? His subordinate's mournful expression interrupted his anticipation of a meal.
The rushing pirate exclaimed, "It's that little girl who somehow ended up on our ship..."
"And she's still not dead?" The Steel Helmet Captain Aps showed his displeasure.
"That little girl... she's a monster, Captain! We can't even touch her... It's too bizarre!"
"Worthless!" The Steel Helmet Captain kicked his subordinate away and strode forward. At that moment, his crew was gathered in a circle on the deck, with the sounds of swords and fists clashing, along with continuous screams of terror and confusion, making him laugh in anger. "What ambition! What skill! You worthless fools need so many people to take down a little girl? Damn it... Hmm?"
The crew members parted, allowing the Steel Helmet Captain to see how the brown-haired girl was evading their attacks. No matter what kind of attack, fists, swords, none of them could touch her! She seemed to be like a cloud, a wisp of smoke, dispersing and gathering without a trace.
On the ship's railing, a black seabird perched silently, observing.
Shuā!
A long blade slashed diagonally, unstoppable, cleaving Koala in two, the sword's force leaving a clear scratch on the wooden deck.
"Vice Captain! Please be careful! You almost cut us too!"
The Vice Captain, Kurazo, ignored them and, undeterred, continued to slash at Koala. Having once been a bodyguard for a wealthy man, his sword technique was not lacking, and each strike aimed at vital points. Yet every blow that landed on the frail girl felt weightless, as if she were an illusion rather than a real person…
Having stumbled onto a pirate ship and facing a group of pirates attacking her, Koala kept her head down, bowing repeatedly and apologizing in panic, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry… I'm sorry…"
The Vice Captain's relentless slashes made Koala's apologies seem like mockery and humiliation to him.
The bizarre situation left the crew of the Steel Helmet Pirate Crew in disbelief. Captain Aps exclaimed in shock, "Is this what they call a Devil Fruit Ability user? What a pity that such a powerful thing is possessed by a weak little girl!"
Meanwhile, the Vice Captain grew more frantic with his attacks, causing Koala to become even more frightened, retreating repeatedly.
"Captain, that small ship is coming closer."
"Wait a minute!" The Steel Helmet Captain rubbed his fists. "First, let's capture this wasteful little girl…"
He swung a fist toward the terrified Koala's face.
"How wicked!" The Vice Captain Heizao gripped his knife and aimed it at Koala.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry…" Koala stood frozen in place, the fist and knife "whooshing" through her body, shattering the ship's railing behind her, and the black seabird perched on the railing was also knocked down, falling into the sea and scattering into a flurry of petals on the water's surface.
"No one can touch you; doesn't that feel nice?" She heard Big Brother Giorno's voice.
Jolyne, her elder sister, appeared beside her at some point, gently resting a hand on her shoulder.
"Who are you?" Both the Steel Helmet Captain and the Vice Captain asked simultaneously, only to find that their fists and knives had become immobile.
"Fists aren't meant to be used like this." The Steel Helmet Captain's fist was caught by a mechanical hand covered in blue flame patterns.
"And knives aren't either." Liam stood behind the Vice Captain, pinching the blade between two fingers and giving it a gentle twist, causing the Vice Captain to feel a jolt, and the knife slipped from his grasp.
