Before long, Ji Yanlin returned, holding a small bag that was clearly from the hospital pharmacy, containing the medication Ye Chaochao needed to take.
"Everything's ready now, let's go." Ji Yanlin softly said as he came to Ye Chaochao's side.
Ye Chaochao nodded, stood up, and slowly followed Ji Yanlin out.
When they reached the parking lot, Ji Yanlin quickly opened the passenger side door, letting Ye Chaochao get in. Only after she was settled did he close her door and walk around to the driver's side to get in.
Without asking too many questions, Ji Yanlin started the car and headed toward the apartment.
As they left the underground garage, Ye Chaochao noticed that Ji Yanlin was heading in the direction of his apartment. She pursed her lips and couldn't help but mock, "Aren't you taking me home?"
Ji Yanlin kept his eyes on the road and replied calmly, "I don't feel comfortable with you going home."
