(Jin's POV)
I sighed as exhaustion caught up after me, and Roswaal's fight was ended by Puck.
Which, I am honestly grateful for as I knew I would have been dead if Roswaal didn't hold back.
I took a glance towards Roswaal, who didn't even break a sweat and had his usual smile plastered on his face.
"I- My bad…I didn't word things properly before."
My words got the attention of the cat and the man as they looked at me with interest and curiosity.
"I, actually….I haven't even tried to court a girl before this…So! Technically I wasn't wrong when I said I haven't failed once at courting women! Yeap! And I'm sure I would've gotten a few if I-"
But before I could even utter anything further, I felt a pat from both the murder kitty and murder "jester" in my shoulder.
"I see, I Se~ee. I shouldn't have been worked up like tha~t"
"There, There, Jin… I believe you, I know no girl can resist your charms which is lower than mine"
I gazed at the two, who looked at me with sadness and pity. My eyes twitched hearing their words.
"A-"
I was gonna say something but it was once again interrupted by the two.
"Shhh… That's enough, Jin…we understand, you're a "Pure" guy still, so I won't mind it if you get friendly with my daughter, Lia"
"Yeah, I wouldn't mind it if you play house with both my daughte~rs as well…we understand"
"No- Seriously, Stop-"
"Ssshhh….we now know your loneliness, you can let it out.."
"Rii~ight, We promise we won't tell."
"...."
Fuck it…I'm too tired right now to fight back on their claims.
I'll make them regret saying those words, I'll steal their daughters right in front of their nose! This is my declaration of war!
'Well…I can't really say that out loud or I'll die…'
I turned back my eyes towards my phoenix companion who's in the final phase of his metamorphosis.
Besides me is Kyomu who has been pretty "quiet" for some reason, but I let it be considering we were in a pretty tough fight before.
But on second thought, I think it's better for Kyomu to stay in the storage for now. After all, I'm not really in danger for now, as despite having two beings that can wipe me out in an instant behind me…
I'm confident that they won't hurt me…physically at least..
*Sigh*
I reached out and gramped Kyomu besides me, which got Puck's and Roswaal's attention but I ignored those two and sent Kyomu to rest on one of the sword pedestals in my storage.
"Is that another divii~ine protection, mayhaps?"Asked Roswaal while looking at me with scrutiny, his eyes seemed to want to uncover every inch of my being, I shuddered and called him out.
"Oi! Stop that! You're really freaking me out."
Unfortunately, it didn't work because he just smiled instead. I shuddered once again and repeated. "Seriously, stop it…"
"Puck, help.."I turned my head towards Puck to ask for his help but I instead saw him dematerializing.
"*Yaaawn~ I'm gonna sleep now" He left behind those words before disappearing into moats of light which flew towards the Roswaal manor.
"Ah…he left" I muttered with an appalled face as I robotically turned my head towards Roswaal's direction.
"Oh my~ It looks like we'll be alone for quii~ite some time?" He said with a teasing remark and a devious face.
It was at this moment, I knew, I'm f*cked.
But I'll never yield! Even if it means death!
I readied my hands and put it on the acceler grip, ready to twist it if he makes any sudden move.
Afterall, this clow- no, this person in front of me couldn't be trusted one bit, as this very same person had possessed the body of each of his descendants to stay alive till this day.
All because of a book written by his teacher… This massive simp!.
Although, I guess I shouldn't say that considering I'm a massive simp for rem as well…
"Hoo~oh? Were you thinking something rude just now?" Roswaal voiced with his usual tone.
"What are you a girl?!"
I couldn't help but exclaim, and his response greatly took me aback.
He smiled at me teasingly.
'Wtf?!' I cursed inside my head and looked at Roswaal with wide eyes.
He responded with a smirk before he started to float and said. "Seeing that you are not a threat, for no~ow at the very least, I'll see myself out as I am qui~ite busy, you see?
I'll be expecting you in the manor later, so fo~or now, Ciao"
After leaving those words, Roswaal flew back towards his manor at high speed.
I sighed in relief as I wiped the cold sweat building up in my forehead.
I slumped down on the ground, and the spirits who were keeping their distance before started to gather around me again, but I ignored it for now as I reviewed my battle with Roswaal just now inside my head.
"... As I thought, I can't beat him without dying and getting a rebirth." I muttered as I listed out my number 1 weakness currently.
Which is… Being weak if I haven't transformed or if I'm not using Kyomu and Phi.
I proceeded to lay down on the ground and looked at the moon and the night sky and muttered.
"I'm still weak… I need more power."
I shook my head, and renounced my previous thought not long after.
muttering.
"No…It's understandable that I'm still weak, afterall I just started this journey a few days ago. It's not even a week for goodness sake, so it's fine, no need to rush. Having Kyomu and Phi, along with the Amazon's Driver as a backup is enough for now.
It's just a matter of time…"
I sighed, before I stood up and scratched my head.
"It's a bit frustrating losing to Roswaal, but it's understandable considering he's one of the top dogs in this kingdom.
The only thing I need to do now is to polish my fighting skills, and this world, or rather this kingdom is not the best place to do it considering that the people here are either weaker than me, or overwhelmingly stronger than me.
I need to find an opponent soon… and I know one candidate… Elesa, the bowel hunter."
I smiled after realizing this and muttered.
"I'm looking forward to it."
Although, there's one problem remaining… Natsuki Subaru. I need to prevent him from dying or at the very least, make everyone in the Roswaal Manor keep their memories whenever Subaru inevitably dies.
But the first option is a more sound plan. I just gotta make sure how to prevent Subaru from dying.
Afterall, I cannot babysit him 24/7.
"Oh wait!" A lightbulb lit up above my head as I thought of an idea to prevent Subaru from ever dying.
And that is to fix his inherent problem… his weakness, and I have just the items to fix that.
Hopefully he passes their test and gets accepted as their wielder. But it won't be easy, afterall the item, or rather, the Seiken I am thinking about is most definitely full of pride, considering it is one of the originals.
Ankokuken Kurayami. The sword of darkness, and wisdom. Allowing it's wielder to gain the power of precognition.
It's perfect for that guy, as he has the Yin attribute as well as a person who can reset time whenever he dies.
Although, if he obtains Kurayami, his death should be kept at a minimum…Hopefully.
There's also a risk of Subaru going crazy as all wielders of Kurayami always see the "End" but that only applies to them, they who cannot change the past.
But Subaru can, so it's a perfect fit for him!
"HUMU! I am such a genius!" I announced proudly with my eyes closed and chin high up.
"Yes! Big Brother is smart!" A doll-like cute voice suddenly sounded. Making me freeze.
"Eh?"
I turned my head beside me, and was met with the figure of a big fat "chick" with glistening multi-color feathers.
"What's wrong, Big Brother?" The chick asked with confusion on it's adorable little face.
"Phi?" I asked with a shaky voice, hoping to confirm if my thoughts were right.
"Ah? Yes big brother! It's Phi! Ehehe~" Phi confirmed with a chuckle.
"Ah!? It really is you!" I exclaimed before picking Phi up and cuddling it with my face, which Phi happily returned.
"You changed so much! You're much more cute and colorful now!" I complimented, after all before Phi looked just like a fat normal chicken.
But now, Phi has grown colorful feathers and it's body is more refined now, and looks just like a baby phoenix, unlike before.

"Ah! It's great that you can finally talk!" I said before scratching Phi's head.
Phi's face beamed, chuckling happily at the scratches im giving him.
