The granny chuckled as she thought of what Penny had said earlier. She shook her head, standing outside the hut as she gazed at the empty tree line. Penny and the other two had already left, even though the granny insisted they stay until this all ended.
Not that she expected them to listen to her.
However, she did offer them some mode of transport at a different location. After all, Penny and the guys with her planned to go on foot. And they planned to loot any vehicle on the way — if there was one available.
"What a reckless young lady," the granny muttered. "But she is right—she's better off without the Shadow Order or the Zorken Family."
Because holding such power comes at a cost, and it's not a cheap one. After all, the affairs in the secret society were far more complicated and dangerous than those happening on the island right now.
