Nathalie's eyelids dropped dangerously, her gaze studying the blank look on Jonathan's face. Amusement flickered in her eyes, and she nodded approvingly. What she had said was true.
If Jonathan hadn't chosen to be her enemy, he would have been a great asset. After all, everything happening now, and Nathalie's rise to this point, was largely thanks to Jonathan's meticulous planning. He had made things incredibly easy for her.
Sadly, he had made his decision to be her enemy, and everyone who chose that path shared the same fate: death.
Pushing herself up, she glanced at the men holding him down. "Throw him in the cell later," she instructed. "He won't struggle anymore."
She paused, her eyes fixed on him. "Though killing you immediately would be a mercy I'd love to give, I'd prefer you see everything I accomplish. You'll still be a part of my victory, Nathan."
