As I opened my eyes, I was transported to a wild land, an open field near a forest and a lake. It was as if a magical force had brought me here. I still didn't know if this was a dream or not. Soon I found out that I was not alone.
There were about 400 people besides me, and we were all immobilized in a blue circle shape as I observed all of us couldn't step out of it, like we were trapped inside of this cylindrical blue shape, others were in yellow and/or green cylinders.
There was a frozen breeze shimmering in the air and a gate materialized out of nowhere somewhere in the center of the group. As soon as the portal appeared there was a wooden podium rising, we were all eyes and ears to what happened. From it, stepped a humanoid frog. This new figure exuded a powerful presence, emitting a unique and dominant aura that frightened us. In its hand, it grasped a staff embellished with intricate carvings. Its eyes held an otherworldly luminescence within their pupils.
After a brief pause, as we watched around us, more individuals began to appear. Mesmerized by the apparition of the frog-like creature made we all watch him in awe and the curiosity and the curiosity and anticipation in the air were thick enough to choke on.
After 5 minutes it started to explain our situation.( i can put a more longer time)
There were people that I didn't recognize, they looked like they didn't resemble my hometown country, I could see lots of different cultures people like Asians, Africans, Americans, etc.
It was interesting that I could hear them talking in their own language out loud until the frog cast a spell allowing us to understand each other.
This frog looked like a old smart hermit, has grow white beard and is holding a druid Staff
"To clarify, everyone gathered here is required to partake in a game where you can either compete individually or collaborate with other players to earn points. These points will help you along the way. Each successful elimination of an opponent awards you 5 points, but it's essential to remember that fighting among yourselves is prohibited unless you summon a PvP moderator. Summoning one is straightforward; just proclaim, 'I summon the battle moderator,' and a fellow participant will oversee the bout. (Frog Administrator)
"Furthermore, these points can also be earned through alternative means like surviving and hunting the monsters that roam the area. Additionally, points can be gained by withstanding waves of monsters in designated zones, triumphing over creatures in the forest and open field, successfully completing dungeons, and showing your mettle in surviving various challenges. If you're inclined to explore the forest and its surroundings, ensure you're well-prepared for the journey ahead."(Frog Administrator)
As the situation unfolded, questions and concerns began to surface among the participants.
"Are we truly compelled to fight to the death?" one person wondered. (someone 1)
Another participant expressed their unease, saying, "I've never excelled at combat. How can I possibly succeed in this scenario?" (someone 2)
A glimmer of hope emerged as someone suggested, "Perhaps if we collaborate as a team, we can navigate this challenge together."(unknown female character 1)
In stark contrast, a character named Altair, shrouded in an ominous aura, proclaimed, "I shall claim the top position. The rest of you hold no value."(Altair)
On a more optimistic note, Leafy, assured, "I believe we can all find our way through this." (Leafy)
As I surveyed the assembly, I noticed several familiar faces. Ludvig, my former boss from an internship, was among them, raising questions about why he is here with us. He wasn't looking like I had remembered but more older. In the distance, I spotted two colleagues from work and a close friend from college, further deepening the mystery of our collective predicament.
'I would hope I don't have to see him again' (MC in his own thoughts)
Slowly but surely, an understanding of the situation began to dawn upon everyone. It became evident that they weren't the only ones grappling with the perplexing circumstances that had brought them to this strange realm.
The people started to ask each other, for example, if the other knew more about this world or not, what is their name, etc.
In a short time as they spoke, they made chaos and sound pollution
At that moment, the frog administrator took charge and delivered a stern warning, shooting a bolt of lightning in the air from his scepter to command attention.
"Silence! If you fail to heed my instructions, I will deduct a substantial 100 points from all of you!"
The crowd fell into a shock state, the significance of those 100 points reverberating through our collective consciousness. The threat of losing such a substantial amount of points served as a stark reminder of the gravity of the situation.
The Frog administrator, once more in control, returned to a calmer tone and continued to elucidate the mission's objectives.
"Let's remember that the ultimate goal is to accrue points. Defeating your adversaries will earn you five points for each victory, but always adhere to the rule: no inter-participant conflict without the presence of a PvP (player versus player) moderator."
A murmur passed through the crowd as the participants contemplated their options. Some were drawn to the excitement of hunting monsters, envisioning the rewards and prestige they might obtain. Others, however, were more circumspect, aware of the inherent dangers in these confrontations.
Returning to his calm tone, the Frog guide continued to explain the mission's objective.
"The top 30 participants will receive an additional reward at the end of the game. As for the rest, may the Lord be with you."
"Now everyone will try to reach those high positions for sure," commented one of the participants.
"Now, I'll let my students continue their battle preparations and explain something very important," said the Frog master guide.
Three to five guides, half-human, half-animal, approached, carrying large boxes. Inside those boxes, we saw orbs.
"For everyone here, please take an orb and open it. I'm sure you'll manage," said the humanoid owl guide.
As we all opened the orbs, a message appeared: "Do you want to open this mystery gacha ticket?" Without hesitation, we selected "yes". But something interesting happened when someone. Choose the "no" option.
Some received gloves, daggers, swords, shields, two-handed swords, axes, and other fantasy weapons. No one got guns or magical weapons – everyone received melee weapons.
"I hope I get something good to work with," I thought. The orb began to glow and rose up, revealing a spear. I had never used a weapon like this before, and I wondered how will I master it.
Many were disappointed, but not everyone shared the same sentiment. The Tiger man spoke up.
"Now, I'll provide you with the final details of the game. This is a survival game, and you should make use of everything available in this forest. You may find hidden chests and bags that could be useful in your 'game.' I'll be monitoring your actions, and anyone who fights without summoning the moderator will lose 50 points. If you reach -200 points, well, you might find yourself in a less pleasant place.
Before all of you to depart and choose your pace and road to take, there will be a trial period mode when some other moderators, martial arts, and weapons Specialists based on all the weapons that are claimed by all of you, at least 1 will come. In the next 2 and a half weeks you can take lessons and spare with them at a certain time, they will provide all of you the minimum necessary."
The five human-shaped animals said in unison, "Good luck, my fellow humans."
With our newly acquired weapons and knowledge of the game's rules, we stood on the wild plain field, ready for the surreal adventure that lay ahead. The forest beckoned, the lake sparkled, and our fates were uncertain, but we didn't enter yet the Galandria Forest. We had first to train with the weapon specialists.
As I looked around, I saw Ludvig and others I recognized gathering into their groups. It seemed they had plans and strategies in mind. Determination, anxiety, and excitement filled the air.
After the initial shock of their predicament, the participants found themselves while choosing their schedules, by introducing themselves on intensive training programs on their own with the teachers. The training was led by a team of specialized instructors who each excelled in different aspects of preparation for the challenges that awaited them in the Marina Forest.
