Inside the waiting room, Nakul had just been punched hard.
Meanwhile, Arohi reached outside the waiting room just in time to overhear the commotion inside. She stopped in her tracks, curious to know what was happening next. At that moment, she signaled Pasha, who had rushed in behind her,to dig up a complete background check on Nakul.
Inside the waiting room Nakul, stunned, touched his mouth and realized there was blood on his lips. As he began to process what had just happened, fury overtook him.
Wiping the blood off his mouth, he growled, "How dare you lay a hand on me? Do you even know who you've hit?"
The man standing before him glared at Nakul with his dark, intense eyes. It was none other than Agastya Roy.
Agastya gave a faint smile in response to Nakul's outburst, but there was something unnerving about that smile. Calmly, he said, "I don't care what kind of big shot you think you are. You raised your hand on a woman, and that alone proves you're not a man. I have no interest in knowing anything else about you,and frankly, you don't deserve to be known."
Infuriated, Nakul raised his hand to strike Agastya, but before he could make a move, Agastya struck him in the knee, causing him to fall face-first to the ground.
Nakul's head hit the floor hard, and for a moment, his vision went black.
Meanwhile, Pasha returned with the information Arohi had asked for. With everything in hand, Arohi opened the waiting room door and stepped inside.
Just as she did, Nakul collapsed at her feet.
The moment Arohi entered, everyone, except Agastya—instinctively straightened, suddenly alert. Her aura alone was enough to make anyone nervous, and that's exactly how everyone felt.
Arohi stepped away from Nakul, not wanting him to touch her shoes. She said coldly, "Pasha, get him up."
Then she gestured toward Agastya and the twin brothers, saying, "You three, stay. Everyone else—get out."
The sudden command stunned the other candidates, and they stared at her in disbelief. One of them, angry and confused, blurted out, "But we're here for an interview! How can you ask us to leave without even speaking to us?"
Arohi locked eyes with him, her sharp gaze cutting through the room. Calmly but firmly, she replied, "If you can't handle a situation like this, how can I expect you to handle matters in my company? Now go and watch the drama from outside. You're no longer needed here."
Embarrassed and humiliated, the group left without another word.
Meanwhile, someone was silently watching Arohi from head to toe with unblinking intensity.
Turning back to Nakul, Arohi approached him with an icy stare. Pasha had already helped him up, but the closer Arohi got, the more Nakul began to tremble. For some reason, he was beginning to feel afraid.
"I don't believe in forgiveness," Arohi said, arms crossed. "Which means you have only one option—punishment."
She took out her phone and made a call.
A voice on the other end picked up instantly: "Oh, Arohi ma'am! What a surprise! I've been wanting to speak with you about work for a while now but couldn't get an appointment."
Arohi put the call on speaker, so everyone could hear it. Nakul, the moment he recognized the voice, froze in shock.
Arohi looked at him and said, "Mr. Jay, there's a man here who claims to know you,and because of that, he believes he can get away with anything in my company."
There was an unmistakable chill in Arohi's voice that Jay picked up on. Cautiously, he replied, "Madam, who is it? Let me speak with him."
Mr. Jay was Asia's highly respected senior law advisor. Nakul was his cousin brother-in-law, and he often used Jay's name to bully his way around. But now, Nakul was panicking..he had no desire to speak with Jay, especially since Mr. Jay had no idea he'd been misusing his name.
Nakul hesitantly took the phone and stammered, "H-Hello... Brother... It's Nakul."
Jay immediately sensed that his foolish brother-in-law was involved in something shady. Arohi's voice earlier had already warned him that something was wrong. He snapped, "What have you done now? If you've messed up this time, you're on your own. You better pray you haven't offended Arohi ma'am."
Nakul couldn't say a word—but Arohi's piercing glare said it all. She snatched the phone back and said bluntly, "Mr. Jay, this man has been misusing your name to threaten my employees."
"What?! Are you an insane, Nakul?" Jay shouted from the other end. He was livid. How could Nakul ruin his hard-earned reputation like this?
Arohi was done with the drama. In a sharp, no-nonsense voice, she said, "I've already submitted all evidence of his illegal activities—bribing clients, blackmail, and fraud—to the court. Today, he tried to use your name to scare people. I trust you'll take it from here."
Her words made it crystal clear—she wasn't going to help Nakul, and she expected Jay not to, either.
Jay understood the unsaid message loud and clear. He had no intention of helping Nakul now. In fact, he would likely take action against him himself.
For Nakul, this was a hard blow. He hadn't realized that his arrogant behavior would bring his career to the brink of destruction. He'd assumed Arohi was just some ordinary girl, someone he could scare or manipulate. But now he understood—his own arrogance had dug his grave.
Falling at her feet, Nakul pleaded, "Arohi ma'am, please forgive me! I made a mistake. I'll apologize to everyone. I swear I'll never behave like this again."
Watching this, the twin brothers struggled to hold back their laughter.
One of them, Arjun, whispered to his brother, "Karan, he's acting like he's going to get another chance after this."
Karan replied, "Yeah, today's his last day as a lawyer. From now on, he'll be practicing law behind bars—with inmates."
The two chuckled quietly to themselves. But someone's intense gaze silenced them instantly. The moment they felt it, they fell completely silent.
Arohi, ignoring all of Nakul's begging, instructed Pasha, "Throw him out of the company."
Then, without another word, she walked back to her cabin. Her fists clenched tightly. Even as she walked away, she could still feel the burning weight of someone's intense gaze on her back.
