After a while, all five giant elders lay unconscious on the ground. The areas they were struck were completely blackened, and they didn't make a sound as they fell.
Seeing the situation turning against him, Dorner panicked and broke into a cold sweat. He slowly moved toward Hilda, hoping to capture her as a hostage.
Closer... closer...
"Ouch!" Dorner yelped, holding his foot.
Hilda had noticed his move and stepped on his foot hard. She quickly ran behind Lynch, pointing at Dorner and complaining, "Lynch, he tried to bully me!"
"Hehe, hehe."
Dorner forced a smile, weaker than a grimace, as he faced the intense glares from both of them. "It was a misunderstanding, do you believe me?"
Dorner wanted to speak, but he tripped over his robe, stumbling and nearly falling. When he looked up, Lynch was already standing right in front of him.
Without hesitation, Dorner dropped to his knees before Lynch.
"Thump~"
"Please don't kill me! Please don't kill me!" Dorner pleaded, trembling uncontrollably.
Lynch stared at him in silence.
This was the first time he had seen such a timid, fearful giant. Also, the strange outfit Dorner wore among the giants caught his attention—there seemed to be some purpose behind it.
"You were so confident earlier, wanting to kidnap me. What happened to that?" Hilda peeked out and stuck her tongue out at Dorner.
"Every mistake is the villain's fault! Please forgive me, Aunt!"
In a desperate bid to survive, Dorner even addressed Hilda as "Aunt," causing her face to turn red with embarrassment.
Lynch couldn't help but think that Dorner had potential.
This giant, with some brains and mostly shamelessness, has almost caught up with Saint Saturn
There are many giants who are not afraid of death, but there are very few giants who are greedy for life and afraid of death but also have some cleverness
"Bah! I'm not your aunt," Hilda said, still embarrassed.
Lynch chuckled and added, "I actually liked the way you were acting bold earlier. Now, lift your head."
"I-I can't," Dorner replied, trembling.
"I said, lift your head," Lynch's tone turned more commanding.
"Okay!" Dorner obediently nodded like a dog wagging its tail. "It's an honor to see your noble face."
Hilda: "..."
She couldn't help but feel embarrassed for the giant clan.
"Take me to the giant king. Do you have a problem?" Lynch asked.
"If you behave well, I can spare your life."
"No problem, no problem! Please, this way!" Dorner nodded eagerly, bowing and flattering with every step.
In his desperation to survive, Dorner had quickly abandoned his old master.
"It seems like you're quite important among the giants?" Lynch asked.
"Not really, not really," Dorner replied. "I'm just well-liked by the clan and have some responsibilities. You know, the greater the ability, the greater the responsibility."
"Speak plainly," Lynch said, a little irritated.
"Well, I lived in the human world before," Dorner explained.
"With the knowledge I gained there, I earned the position of high priest with the King of Giants."
"It's a disaster for the giants to have you as their high priest," Lynch remarked.
"Not at all! Thank you for the compliment, sir," Dorner replied, grinning.
"Hey, big guy, you've grown so tall for nothing. Why are you so useless?" Hilda covered her face, embarrassed for Dorner.
"Auntie, I'm a civil servant. Civil servants aren't skilled in martial arts," Dorner responded, trying to explain himself.
Watching the "giant traitor" lead the enemy away, the remaining giants were left in despair. It felt like the entire giant race was doomed.
…
Giant clan, holy mountain, palace complex.
Dorner led Lynch through a series of secret passages until they finally arrived before the giant king, Loki.
Loki's size was beyond anything Lynch had ever seen, towering at an imposing twenty meters.
Among the giants, it seemed the taller a person was, the greater their power and status.
"Dorner, I didn't ask you to bring humans here. Where are the others?" Giant King Loki's voice echoed through the warm palace. Half of his massive form was hidden in shadow as he sat high on his throne, cold eyes fixed on the three below.
Dorner's heart raced. If Loki finds out I betrayed him, he'll kill me. There's no way out now but to fully embrace the dark side!
With a shout, Dorner boldly declared, "Loki, you're trying to gain the reputation of Lord Lynch, a powerful man of light. I, Dorner, am ashamed to be associated with you!"
Loki's eyes darkened. "How dare you betray me?" he growled, a look of suspicion in his gaze as if questioning whether Dorner had led the enemy here.
"Betray you?!" Dorner spat. "I was born to serve Mr. Lynch, and I will die in his service! From the moment I met him, I, Dorner, swore I would never have another master!"
Dorner gathered all his courage and glared at Loki. "As for you, get down and beg for forgiveness. Maybe Mr. Lynch will spare your life."
Loki, seething with anger, laughed bitterly. "I truly misjudged you, Dorner."
A wave of deadly killing intent surged from Loki toward Dorner, overwhelming him.
"Master Lynch, save me so I can serve you!" Dorner quickly shrank back and hid behind Lynch, as if the air had turned to ice.
The killing aura stopped just short of Lynch, unable to move past him.
"The King of Giants," Lynch said, his voice steady.
"Are you the emperor of the West Blue?" Loki and Lynch spoke in unison.
As the king of the giants who had unified the scattered tribes, Loki saw himself as the ruler of the world's most powerful nation. He didn't even consider the Four Emperors to be a threat.
Loki's ambition was clear. Sooner or later, he believed, the world would belong to the great giant race.
Lynch saw the depth of that ambition in Loki's eyes.
The frog at the bottom of the well never knew the vastness of the world. It stayed in its small space, dreaming of becoming a king and ruling over everything.
"The frog in the well."
"What did you say!?" Loki suddenly stood up, his muscles bulging, his physique resembling that of a bodybuilder.
This young giant king had no idea who he was truly facing.
"Elder brother?" Hilda, still hiding behind Lynch, called out uncertainly after watching for a while.
In fact, Loki had changed so drastically from when he was a child that even Hilda couldn't believe it.
"Sister, long time no see."
When Loki heard his sister's voice, his cold expression returned. He sat down in his chair as if he had been expecting this moment.
"Brother, it's really you!" Hilda exclaimed, her excitement clear. "You're not dead. Why didn't you look for me all these years?"
"Who said I didn't look for you?" Loki replied, crossing his arms. "My foolish sister, if it weren't for me, do you think you'd still be alive today?"
"Those fools among the giants were eager to kill you, a demon cursed with Elber's disease."
"The only reason you're alive now is because of me."
