Chapter 223 - 223 Medical Treatment

Over two thousand giants were captured. Adult giants possess strength equivalent to Vice Admirals.

In an instant, Lynch's system points skyrocketed to 13,000! Summoning Jerry would only cost 500 points.

Next, the plan was simple: transport the giants back to the West Blue and summon Jerry.

The thirty warships set sail, carrying the captured giants toward West Blue.

"Wait a second! I almost forgot—I promised Big Mom some giants," Lynch muttered to himself.

After searching through the crowd, he eventually selected two elderly giants who were barely holding on—teeth nearly gone, trembling as they walked, and with no family ties.

"You two will do. With Big Mom's guilt toward your race, I can guarantee you'll live out your remaining years comfortably on Cake Island," Lynch assured them.

And just like that, Lynch sent two elderly giants, with one foot already in the grave, as a "gift" to Big Mom.

Lynch traveled at a steady pace, eliminating pirates, bandits, and slave traders along the way.

"Since I'm already in the New World, how can I not make the most of it and earn more points?"

The weak pirates in West Blue no longer posed enough of a challenge for his Marine forces.

Three days later, Loki regained consciousness. Surprisingly, he was calm.

Upon hearing the news, Hilda made a special trip to visit him in the prison.

"Sister, you..." Loki's voice trailed off as he looked at Hilda, her face pale as paper. Memories of childhood surfaced—he remembered that piercing pain when he first realized something was wrong.

"In three days, it will be your 18th birthday," Hilda said softly. "Brother... I'm sorry."

Unlike Loki, Hilda did not have the Muscle Fruit and was destined not to survive past her 18th birthday. Loki understood that she had only three days left.

Regret washed over him as he reflected on his past actions. He clenched his fists, blaming himself for failing to protect her.

Defeated by Lynch, Loki now had time to reflect on his choices and what truly mattered.

Loki's original dream wasn't to become the king of the world or take revenge on the giants—it was simply to protect his sister.

But now, he realized that no matter how much he wanted to protect her, reality wasn't giving him that chance.

Slap!

Loki suddenly raised his arm and slapped himself hard across the face.

"Brother, what are you doing?!" Hilda cried out, reaching through the prison bars to grab his arm, trying to stop him. Her pale face looked even more fragile as streaks of blood appeared on Loki's cheek.

"I don't blame you, brother," Hilda said softly. "Without you, I wouldn't have survived my childhood."

"If you're worried about my illness, I have good news," she added with a faint smile. "Tom said the medicine is almost ready. The legendary Elbaf disease isn't incurable."

"Don't try to comfort me," Loki muttered, shaking his head. He thought Hilda was only saying this to ease his guilt.

But deep down, he wished it could be true.

How could anyone cure Elbaf disease?"

If it could be cured, the giants wouldn't have struggled with it for so many years. If someone truly developed a cure, they'd be hailed as the greatest benefactor of the giants.

Just then, Loki's expression turned to panic. "Sister, your nose!"

"My nose?" Hilda instinctively touched under her nose and felt warm blood streaming down. Before she could react, a wave of dizziness overcame her, and she collapsed to the ground.

"Sister!" Loki screamed, stretching his hand through the prison bars, but he couldn't reach her. With seastone cuffs restraining him, he was powerless. "Help! Someone, come quickly! She's dying!"

Moments later, Tom, dressed as a doctor, rushed into the prison. Seeing Hilda struggling to breathe, he quickly tossed two pills into her mouth and began working calmly. Then, he raised a wooden sign:

[I told you to rest and stay in your room! Why didn't you listen?]

"I'm sorry, Tom..." Hilda said weakly, her voice trembling. "I was just... afraid my brother might lose hope."

After taking the medicine, her breathing stabilized, but she buried her face in shame, blaming herself for worrying everyone.

Tom was about to reprimand Hilda, but seeing her frailty, his stern expression softened. He wrote on his board: [This is the last time. It won't happen again.]

Carrying Hilda in his arms, Tom turned to Loki before leaving. With a firm gaze, he write,

[Don't worry. Even God can't take away someone I've decided to save.]

Back in the medical room, Tom carefully laid Hilda down and sat at his workstation. Thoughts of Hilda's condition and his research on the disease raced through his mind.

After much contemplation, he decided it was time. Grabbing a large bowl, he began mixing his concoction. He poured in a bag of milk, added three tangerines, and dropped a piece of chocolate candy into the mix.

Stirring it thoroughly, he took a small taste. The flavor was good, but something was still missing.

Frowning, Tom reached into his tail fur and pulled out... a frog. Without hesitation, he tossed it into the bowl.

Setting the bowl aside, Tom removed his doctor's coat and produced a peculiar magic wand. Pointing it at the bowl, he began chanting in a mysterious tone: "Meow, meow, meow, meow!"

Translate, "Avada eats the big melon!"

A green magical light shot out, hitting the medicine bowl. Instantly, the bowl emitted a bright, green glow.

Exhausted, Tom collapsed onto the ground, drenched in sweat.

Lynch, watching from the side, gave an approving nod. "Impressive. This cat knows both magic and martial arts"

Picking up the now colorless and odorless potion, Lynch carefully helped Hilda sit up and brought the bowl to her lips. "Drink this. You should feel better after drinking it."

Hilda nodded weakly and began sipping the liquid. Though she had clearly seen Tom throw a frog into the mix earlier, she noticed it had vanished completely. It was truly astonishing.

As the warm liquid flowed through her, a soothing heat spread to her limbs and bones. Her pale complexion quickly turned rosy, and her strength seemed to return visibly.

"I... I feel strong again," Hilda said softly, clenching her fists as her strength returned.

"My body doesn't hurt anymore! My illness is cured!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with excitement.

Hilda leaped up from the hospital bed, her face glowing with joy. "I'm cured! Thank you, Lynch!" She hugged Lynch tightly and planted a quick, shy kiss on his cheek.

Like an exuberant fairy, Hilda spun around, pulled Tom off the ground, and kissed his furry cheek. "Thank you, Tom!"

Tom wiped the saliva on his face with a look of disgust on his face, a human woman with poor hygiene.

Hilda, now brimming with energy, patted her chest confidently. "If anything happens in the future, leave it to me!"

Tom's eyes lit up and he held out four fingers: four boxes of dried fish! No, five boxes!

After regaining her health, Hilda went straight to the prison to see Loki.

The siblings talked for hours that day, but no one knew what was said between them.

When Hilda came out, she pleaded with Lynch to release Loki, promising he wouldn't cause any trouble.

Surprisingly, once Loki was freed, he kept his word. He caused no trouble, seemed to accept reality, and appeared indifferent to others' opinions.

Now, Loki no longer used his Muscle Fruit powers to pretend to be a giant. Instead, he chose to remain at his natural height of 2.2 meters.

Lynch approached the giants, demonstrated that Elbar disease could be cured, and promised to treat them.

Faced with Lynch's combined force, medical expertise, and Loki's influence, the giants' resistance softened. While they continued to push back, their efforts were no longer as desperate as before.

Lynch was confident that once they arrived in the West Blue and experienced a better quality of life, the giants would eventually embrace their new reality.

In time, he believed, they would see themselves as part of the West Blue.
