The stars around Earth dimmed under the shadow of Galactus. His face twisted with rage, a freshly torn wound beneath his eye still glowing with residual chaos energy — Aiden's mark.

But Aiden was no longer in sight.

That left the rest of Earth's defenders — the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four — to face the wrath of the World Devourer alone.

Galactus extended a hand toward the Earth. "Your time has ended."

A massive gravitational pulse surged from his palm — an invisible tidal wave that hurled several asteroids and disabled drones toward the heroes.

"MOVE!" Tony shouted.

Carol Danvers rocketed forward, intercepting a hurtling mass of debris with her body. The impact flared with a concussive wave, but she held firm, gritting her teeth as the rubble crumbled around her like paper.

Meanwhile, Sue Storm floated in a protective formation with Reed, Johnny, and Wolverine, projecting shield after shield to protect the group. "I can't take much more of this! He's pressing harder—"

"Then we push back harder!" Reed replied, firing a volley of vibrational energy pulses from a compact device clamped to his arm. Each shot disrupted Galactus' armor momentarily, giving Storm an opening.

Above them, Ororo conjured a maelstrom of solar-charged lightning, superheating it in the upper orbit and guiding the strikes directly into Galactus' chest.

"FOR EARTH!" she cried as bolts the size of skyscrapers rained down.

At the same time, Thor spun Mjolnir into a cyclone, calling upon the primal lightning of Asgard. He threw the hammer with every ounce of fury and desperation, the charged strike colliding with Storm's lightning to create a combined blast that struck Galactus directly in the neck.

He staggered.

Jean Grey, eyes glowing with faint embers of the Phoenix, focused her will into a raw telekinetic spear, guiding it into Galactus' exposed wound just beneath the eye. Her body trembled from the sheer pressure of channeling that much force in space.

Cyclops, riding on a magnetic booster plate from Reed, adjusted his visor. "Now, Jean—NOW!"

A concentrated optic blast, fired at max output, sliced through Jean's guided spear like a laser lance, boring deeper into the wound.

"DO YOU FEEL THAT?!" Logan howled, launched from behind by Johnny Storm who'd superheated his own body into a white-hot flare and used himself as a slingshot platform.

Wolverine tore across Galactus' gauntlet, embedding his adamantium claws beneath the armor plating, digging deep. "I ain't lettin' you walk away from this, bub!"

Galactus finally snapped.

"You ants—vermin—you dare draw blood from me?!"

With a massive clap, he shattered Sue's shields and sent shockwaves outward, rupturing energy fields and nearly knocking Carol unconscious.

He opened his mouth, and light began to gather — the energy of a dying star condensed in his throat.

"FALL."

He fired the beam.

Sue Storm screamed, throwing her hands up as a final shield formed in front of Jean, Logan, Reed, and Cyclops. "I've got it— I'VE GOT IT—!"

The beam struck.

Her barrier fractured on contact, spiderwebbing with cracks, as Reed screamed, "SUE—!"

Then the shield shattered completely. The explosion of raw cosmic light sent them all flying.

Cyclops hit a chunk of asteroid debris and was knocked out cold. Reed was sent tumbling into orbit, suit sparking and compressing rapidly. Johnny, partially burnt out from his Nova form, crashed into Logan, the two spiraling together out of the immediate fight zone.

Carol Danvers, chest heaving, blood pooling from a cracked lip, rose once again. "He's not stopping…"

Thor landed beside her, gripping Mjolnir tightly, eyes glowing. "Let him rage. He will face us all."

Galactus turned toward them both, raising a hand.

"This ends now."

Before the hand fell — a sudden pulse of energy flickered across the battlefield. Not from Galactus. Not from the heroes.

A new force. A growing presence.

But Aiden was still nowhere to be seen.

....

The war outside thundered across the void of space. The station trembled under the pressure of distant explosions. Still, Aiden burst into the lab, his boots slamming against the floor with purpose.

"HOW'S THE PROGRESS?!" he barked, eyes flickering with urgency.

Valeria looked up from her console, pale, sweat clinging to her forehead. Her fingers danced across the holographic screen. "90%! It's not ready yet! It's still stabilizing in the fusion chamber — before we can load it into the weapon, we need at least ten more minutes!"

Aiden's eyes locked on the heart of the machine.

Inside a massive reinforced containment pod, three forces swirled violently

A black-red chaotic storm, oozing with corruption — the living essence of chaos.

An orange and blue celestial flame, laced with divine serenity — the undiluted Phoenix Force.

And finally, a glimmering silver vortex, coiling like a serpent — the last remnants of Silver Surfer's cosmic power.

He pointed directly at the whirling energies. "That's it, right? The payload?"

Valeria nodded slowly, her voice shaky. "Technically…yes. It's the only thing strong enough to harm Galactus directly. But we can't use it unless it's fused to the warhead made of Silver Surfer's board. And that's not—"

Before she could finish—

BOOOOOOM!!!

A violent tremor rocked the station. Cracks spiderwebbed across the lab's reinforced glass. A console behind them exploded in a shower of sparks.

The battle outside had reached its peak.

"We don't have ten minutes to spare, Valeria."

"Then what do you suggest, huh?!" she screamed, tears of frustration forming in her eyes. "We can't do anything without that weapon!"

Aiden stared at the containment tube, then stepped forward slowly.

"…I'll absorb it."

Valeria's eyes widened. "WHAT?! Aiden! No—no, that's not a goddamn spellbook or a fancy piece of magic metal. That is THREE primordial forces trying to kill each other. You'll be ripped apart before you even touch it!"

He looked back over his shoulder, calm but resolute.

"Knull — the God of Death himself — thought my body was special. Special enough that he was willing to fight Galactus over it. So maybe... just maybe... it's time I find out what makes me special."

Valeria stepped forward, trembling. "Aiden, you might really die this time!"

He gave her a tired smile.

"I'm dying either way if we don't stop him. So I'd rather choose how I go out… fighting for this planet. Fighting for the people I care about. Better that than becoming one of Galactus' broken slaves."

Valeria's voice cracked. "Aiden…"

"I'm sorry, Val." He reached out, brushing his fingers against her cheek. "But I have to do this."

Without waiting, she pulled him into a desperate kiss. Her lips trembled. "Then be careful… please."

He nodded.

Valeria opened the pod.

Aiden stepped inside.

The chaotic fusion of cosmic forces surged toward him like a beast unleashed. It clawed at his skin. Black tendrils of chaos ripped into him. Phoenix flames began to burn away his flesh. The silver power of the Surfer tried to rewrite his very cells.

His body convulsed, veins glowing violently. His skin began to peel, muscle tearing. He opened his mouth — and the energy surged into him, burning through his insides, trying to destroy him from within.

Aiden screamed.

And then… he started to crumble.

His bones turned to dust. His skin, gone. His voice — silenced. He was nothing but ash.

Valeria fell to her knees. "Aiden…" she whispered, her voice choking on the horror.

And then—

A hand touched her shoulder.

Warm.

Alive.

She turned, eyes wide with disbelief.

Standing before her was Aiden, but no longer the boy she knew.

His form pulsed with divine light. White hair, long and flowing like a comet trail, but now glowing with an ethereal sheen. His eyes were not human — they blazed golden, vertical slit pupils gleaming like the core of a dying star.

His body shimmered with overlapping golden-white dragon scales, sleek and divine. Draconic horns coiled back over his head, smooth and radiant like celestial blades. A flowing cape of gold-and-white cosmic flame drifted behind him, flickering like it was alive. His arms bore silvery, rune-inscribed gauntlets, and from his back extended two massive, semi-translucent draconic wings, layered in energy and celestial light.

The very air shimmered around him — no, not air. Reality. He was warping it just by standing there.

Valeria couldn't believe it. "You're… alive."

Aiden wrapped his arms around her gently. "I'm more than alive."

She looked into his eyes, overwhelmed. "What… what are you now?"

Aiden closed his eyes. When he opened them again, the light behind them nearly blinded her.

"…I've lost the title of Dragon Slayer."

He turned, facing the battle outside.

A deep hum resonated through the lab, as if the universe itself recognized his ascension.

"…Instead, I've become…"

He stepped forward.

"The Cosmic Dragon God."
