"You are his daughter?" Aiden asked, his voice steady, yet laced with the kind of authority that made reality itself pause. His golden eyes, still glowing from battle, locked onto her like twin suns ready to burn through lies.
Galacta flinched under his gaze. "Yes—yes! I am!" she blurted, raising both hands in surrender. "But hold on! I don't condone or support anything he's done! I just… y'know… he's still my dad. And I—uh—I totally can't just watch him die!"
Aiden tilted his head slightly. It was a small motion, but it carried the weight of judgment. "And what exactly," he asked, voice low, "can you do to stop me?"
Galacta took a sharp step back, her cosmic aura dimming. "W-Wait! No! Honored One, I—I would never challenge you! You just wiped the floor with my deadbeat dad. Of course I don't stand a chance!" She forced an awkward laugh, then sighed, her expression falling into something more serious. "Honestly… I was hoping you'd spare him. I promise he won't do anything like this again. He usually doesn't go around obliterating inhabited worlds—it's just… it's been a recent trend. You know... the last few centuries."
She muttered that last part under her breath, eyes darting to the side like a kid caught sneaking out past curfew.
"I don't care," Aiden said coldly, lifting his glowing hand. "I'm still not letting such a monster go."
"Wait! Please!" Galacta dropped to her knees and raised her arms desperately. "I'll be your follower! Your servant—slave, even! Just don't kill him!"
Aiden's expression didn't waver. "Why do you care?" he asked sharply. "Didn't you just call him your deadbeat dad? Why protect him?"
Galacta exhaled, shoulders slumping. "Ugh… honestly?" She looked up at Aiden, her voice quieter now, edged with a tired honesty. "I don't want him to live. Personally speaking, he's an asshole. He deserves to die for everything he's done. He abandoned me, used me, ignored every plea I ever made."
She paused, then continued.
"But… he's also a cosmic constant. A living force of balance. The universe needs him. He doesn't just eat for fun—well, okay, sometimes it's for fun—but his primary purpose is to regulate energy, stabilize overpopulation, reset unstable worlds. He's like a wildfire—destructive, yes, but sometimes necessary."
Her gaze dropped to the broken battlefield. "Earth wasn't supposed to be on the menu. He's… strayed from his purpose. Badly. But today, you've reminded him. I doubt he'll forget."
Aiden narrowed his glowing eyes, the very air around him starting to shimmer with suppressed energy.
"You're asking me," he said slowly, "to let this thing go? After the billions he's consumed? Their cries and echoes as he consumed them?"
Galacta nodded solemnly. "Yes. Not because he deserves mercy—far from it. Even as his daughter, I admit my father should be punished. But killing him could throw the cosmic balance into chaos. He's not just a monster… he's a pillar. If you knock it down now, the universe will feel it."
Aiden stared at her for a long moment, the glow on his hand flaring brighter. Then… it dimmed.
He sighed.
"Out of everyone I've killed… he deserves it the most." His voice dropped into something heavier, something ancient. "And yet, you're telling me… he also deserves to live the most."
Galacta held her breath.
"A natural disaster, huh?" Aiden whispered.
Then, with a flick of his wrist, the energy faded.
"Fine. Take him," he said coldly. "Drag him to whatever corner of the universe you want. But hear me."
His voice became as sharp as a blade, echoing in her mind and soul.
"If I ever see him near Earth again—even in the same solar system—I won't care about balance. I won't care about cosmic necessity. It'll be on sight. I'll kill him instantly. No warning."
Galacta bowed deeply, her cosmic body trembling. "Thank you, Honored One. Thank you. I swear he'll never come close again."
"I'm not done," Aiden said darkly.
Galacta froze.
"If I hear he's destroyed a single world that wasn't a threat… if he deviates even once from his purpose…" His eyes narrowed into slits of pure gold. "I will find him. And I will end him myself."
Galacta swallowed hard and nodded. "Understood."
Without another word, Aiden turned away, his aura burning like a collapsing star.
The war was over… for now.
But the fear of the Dragon God still echoed across the cosmos.
...
Galacta didn't waste a second.
With a final, silent glance at Aiden, she summoned a surge of cosmic power and vanished into the stars—dragging her defeated, barely conscious father with her. The wounded titan that once called himself a god was now a fleeing shadow.
The sky calmed.
Space around the battlefield no longer trembled under Galactus' presence. Silence fell.
Aiden floated alone in the void for a moment longer, his body crackling with fading embers of divine power. The chaos of the battle still echoed faintly in his bones, but his eyes… were steady. Focused.
He turned and descended toward the Goliath, the colossal flagship that had served as humanity's last line of defense in the war against the Devourer of Worlds. Its surface was scarred, battered from the battle, but intact—and more importantly, still standing.
The ramp opened. Heroes gathered.
Thor's armor was cracked, his hammer barely held in his hand. Carol Danvers had burns across her arms. Reed Richards looked like he hadn't slept in days. Even the Hulk was leaning on a wall, breathing heavily. They were tired. Bleeding. Drained. But alive.
Aiden walked onto the deck slowly, eyes sweeping across them all. He saw the exhaustion, the uncertainty—until he raised a single hand, and his voice echoed with absolute finality:
"EARTH HAS WON."
The words struck like thunder.
There was a beat of silence. Then it erupted—cheers, whoops, cries of disbelief and joy.
And it wasn't just the heroes.
Back on Earth—through every screen, satellite, magical mirror, and psychic link—the message was delivered:
Galactus has been defeated. Earth is safe.
The effect was instantaneous.
On the ground, across every continent, city, and village, people poured into the streets. From Times Square to Tokyo, Lagos to London, crowds screamed in euphoria. Strangers hugged each other. Fireworks were fired off without hesitation. Cars honked in rhythm, and buildings lit up with holograms of Earth's heroes. Some wept openly—parents holding their children tighter, lovers clinging to each other, entire neighborhoods singing together.
