Having undergone special training, Tien was confident and didn't think much of Vegeta and his group. Instead, he looked toward Gohan with a sense of admiration.

Hearing Tien's question, Krillin responded.

Tien acknowledged Gohan's performance approvingly.

However, to Nappa, Tien's behavior seemed overly arrogant, as if he didn't even consider them a threat. This greatly annoyed him, making him forget about Vegeta's previous instructions.
At this moment, Vegeta didn't say anything. He knew that while the Saibamen were competent, they were too weak compared to Piccolo and the others at this point.

Piccolo, feeling offended by Vegeta's dismissive attitude, couldn't help but feel a bit angry.
"Hey, calm down. This actually works in our favor. It gives us more time until Goku gets here!"
Unlike the impatient Piccolo, Krillin saw an opportunity to weaken Vegeta's group and was fully in favor of the idea.
