[Ding!]
Just as Gensou was about to confirm his 0-star rating for the system, a familiar system notification chimed again.
He paused mid-click.
So much for the "last message." Here it came with another pop-up.
[Friendly reminder, Host: There's a reward for rating the system! The higher the rating, the better the reward!]
Seeing the blatant bait in front of him, Gensou shifted his finger from 0 to 10 without hesitation.
Come to think of it, the system had been erratic the whole time—but it had done its job. And Gensou, kind at heart, decided to let bygones be bygones and give it the highest score.
He tapped 10.
Almost immediately—
[Ding! Ding! Ding!]
This time, the sound wasn't the usual cold mechanical tone—it actually sounded… joyful.
[Thank you for your honest rating, Host!]
[From the moment you arrived in this world, the system has witnessed your talent, perseverance, kindness, sincerity, and loyalty. Though we part ways in the Naruto world today… we will meet again!]
[Full Rating Bonus: "Journey Together" – After the Host's death, the system will return to accompany you in your next world.]
[Until we meet again, Host!]
"…Actually, I'd rather not meet again."
Gensou instantly regretted giving it 10 stars.
The damn system really had attached itself to him.
Not that he was worried—he was already at Six Paths level. With a lifespan that could be described as "endless," dying wasn't on his to-do list.
And even if he did go to another world…
Unless the system fixed its brain, everything would still fall on his own shoulders.
"Well… best of luck fixing your brain, system."
The system didn't reply.
Just as it said—it had completed its mission in this world.
But Gensou's new era was just beginning.
One Month Later —
The Limited Tsukuyomi world had fully stabilized.
Having tied up all loose ends, Gensou met with Kaguya and the Sage of Six Paths once again.
He didn't waste time.
"It's time to go."
The mother and son nodded.
ROAR!
With a great rumble, the Dragon Vein beneath them burst upward, enveloping the three. Blinding light radiated from each of them.
In an instant, the Dragon Vein vanished—along with all three.
After a smooth traversal through space-time—
Gensou, Kaguya, and the Sage opened their eyes to see a serene landscape of mountains and rivers.
"We're back at last…"
The moment he opened his eyes, Gensou knew—this was the world he had grown up in.
Everything had gone according to plan.
Though curious about how the shinobi world had changed during his absence, there were more important matters to attend to first.
Gensou looked at Kaguya and the Sage beside him.
Time to send them back to their world.
The trio soared through the skies and arrived at the ruins of Rōran.
Gensou located the Dragon Vein of this world and took control.
He turned to the mother and son and said:
"It's time to say goodbye."
The order of traversal was fixed—after Gensou's world came theirs. This had been proven during their earlier jumps.
"Then… farewell, Gensou-dono."
The Sage, now free from Naruto's body, offered a final nod.
He didn't say "see you again."
Neither did his mother.
Because neither of them wanted to encounter someone as absurdly strong as Gensou again.
Understanding their thoughts, Gensou simply smiled.
He activated the Dragon Vein, grabbed the native Naruto, and stepped away.
As before, the Dragon Vein surged.
Blinding light enveloped Kaguya and the Sage—
And they were gone.
"…Where am I?"
Naruto, finally regaining his senses after being possessed for so long, blinked in confusion.
"Welcome home, Naruto," Gensou greeted with a smile.
"You're—! Gensou!!"
Naruto recoiled reflexively and stared at him with suspicion.
Once he realized Gensou wasn't attacking, he calmed a little.
"What happened? Why am I here?"
"Still catching up, huh? Think harder."
In a good mood after settling everything, Gensou didn't mind chatting.
Naruto racked his brain.
"I… I was caught in Obito's genjutsu… then Six Paths Grandpa saved me… then I blacked out…"
"Wait, no! He possessed me!"
He suddenly remembered the last thing before losing consciousness and was stunned.
"Why would he do that? And Gensou just said 'welcome home'… so… I'm back?"
A flood of realization and questions rushed into him.
Before he could ask again, Gensou cut him off:
"Live a good life now, Naruto. Fall in love, start a family, stay out of pointless fights. You've helped me enough—I'd really rather not kill you a second time."
Leaving that cryptic farewell, Gensou opened a black portal and stepped inside.
"Wait—!"
Still trying to process it all, Naruto instinctively reached out, but—
The portal vanished.
"…He just left?"
Alone again, Naruto looked around. The surroundings were familiar—it looked like the ruins of Rōran.
"I'm really back…? I wonder how everyone else is…"
Fueled by curiosity, he dashed off toward the Hidden Leaf Village.
At the Same Time—
While Naruto traveled by "Route 11" (aka, his own two feet), Gensou simply blinked through space and arrived at—
The Hagoromo Clan's Territory.
Yes, his home.
Unlike the last time he saw it—ruined and decaying—
Now it was full of grandeur: intricate architecture, bustling streets, and voices echoing in prosperity.
It might still fall short of the Limited Tsukuyomi version…
But compared to Konoha or even the capital of the Land of Fire, it was far more prosperous.
Just from this, Gensou could tell—
Sasuke and the others had done an excellent job.
"Clan Leader!"
"Lord Gensou!"
"Gensou-senpai!"
…
Gensou strode openly into the territory, radiating a divine aura that turned the sky itself. His return was made known to all.
Everyone felt it: the presence of a god.
They gathered quickly, expressions full of awe and joy.
He spotted many familiar faces—Mokutei, Hanare, Kei, Samui, Uchiha Izumi, Uchiha Rei…
But his eyes lingered on Sasuke.
With a satisfied smile, Gensou said:
"You've matured. And done well, Sasuke."
Sasuke bowed respectfully. "Everything we've built… we followed your blueprint, Gensou-sama."
"Plans mean nothing without execution."
Gensou patted Sasuke's shoulder, glancing at the many former Konoha and Five Great Nations ninja—now without village forehead protectors—standing respectfully behind them.
"Including how you handled former enemies. Impressive political skill."
For a Uchiha, mercy was rare.
But Sasuke had chosen to accept past enemies and fracture their alliances instead. That was impressive.
"How many rebels remain?"
Sasuke answered, "About a hundred. Led by the remnants of the Four Kage. They're scattered and hard to locate."
"No worries. Someone will give us their location soon enough."
Gensou smiled faintly.
Finally, he looked across the crowd and declared, with quiet finality:
"True peace has arrived."
"Prepare to welcome the new era!"
...
Elsewhere — Outside Konoha…
"Why?! Hinata's uncle, Chōji's elders, Ino's family—why are they all attacking me?!"
Naruto, barely dodging a barrage of attacks, shouted in disbelief.
He had rushed home with excitement—only to be immediately assaulted.
The attackers were familiar.
Konoha ninja.
He tried to explain—but nothing worked.
Their attacks only grew fiercer.
Naruto didn't want to fight back against his comrades and could only retreat.
"Pursue him!"
A Hyūga ninja activated his Byakugan and joined the hunt.
To secure their clan's place, they had already pledged loyalty to the Hagoromo Clan.
There was no turning back.
This was the ninja world.
Those who couldn't adapt had long vanished—like the Uzumaki.
Naruto could evade pursuit, but he eventually got lost in the wilderness.
While running aimlessly—
"Naruto!"
A familiar voice called out.
He turned—
"Kiba!"
"It's really you!" Kiba, more composed than before, sniffed to confirm. "No mistake."
Naruto, relieved, rushed to him and blurted out everything.
"…What's going on? Why is everyone attacking me?"
Kiba's smile dimmed.
"…It's dangerous here. I'll explain on the way."
Later, Kiba led Naruto to a hidden valley.
"This is where everyone's hiding."
He formed hand seals, revealing a concealed entrance.
Inside—
Naruto saw Tsunade, Kakashi, Sakura, Hinata, Shikamaru, and the rest of the Konoha Twelve.
Unlike their elders, they had refused to betray the legacy of the Hokage.
He also saw people from Kumo, Kiri, and the other Great Nations.
"Naruto!!"
Sakura spotted him first, shouting with joy.
Everyone rushed over—
Naruto raised his hand to wave—
When a familiar voice echoed in his ears.
"…Thanks again, Naruto."
Naruto froze in dread.
So did everyone else. Despair filled their faces.
From the black portal behind Naruto—
Gensou stepped out, smiling, patting his shoulder.
Facing the whole crowd, he said calmly:
"Now the family is complete."
That day, within 24 hours of Gensou's return, the last remnants of resistance were wiped clean.
He didn't kill them.
He simply… put them to work.
In labor, they would find redemption.
Later—
Gensou visited the Moon.
Using Rinne Tensei, he revived the Hagoromo Clan, including Qing.
Unlike the little girl in the Tsukuyomi world—
The Qing of the Moon had grown into a young woman.
But her voice didn't change.
"Gensou-nii!"
Tears in her eyes, she hugged him tightly.
Gensou hugged her back.
The Moon, once home of the Ōtsutsuki, was now the domain of the resurrected Hagoromo Clan.
For over a decade, Gensou lived a peaceful, fulfilling life.
Until one day—
Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki and Kinshiki descended from space.
Before they could utter their usual superiority lines—
Gensou kicked them into the God Tree.
They joined the already-absorbed Isshiki as fertilizer.
From that, a new chakra fruit emerged.
Twirling the genuine fruit in his hand, Gensou smirked and took a bite.
"Looks like you'll be waiting forever, system."
His era—
Had only just begun.
