Thanatos: "You insolent humans! How dare you mock a god?!"
Manigoldo: "So what if I do? If you've got a problem, come and fight me!"
Thanatos: "You—!!!"
Hypnos: "Calm down, Thanatos."
Asmita: "This is truly unbelievable… They actually changed causality. I'd love to meet them."
Daigo: "If I had a gadget like that, I could just make all the monsters in the world disappear instantly!"
Tony Stark: "I completely understand how you feel. If we were in the same universe, I wouldn't care what price I had to pay—I'd make sure to get one of those for myself!"
Thanos: "This is practically a divine artifact! Are you telling me this is a mere product of human technology?! What kind of world do you live in, where such a godly item can be used so casually?!"
Doraemon: "Well, in our world, gadgets like this are pretty common. You can buy them in department stores."
Thanos: "A divine artifact being sold like a regular product… What level of advanced civilization do you people have? With something like this, you could solve countless crises—even issues of overpopulation and resource shortages! Tell me, what kind of world do you live in?!"
Doraemon: "I'm not sure how to describe it… But in our world, no matter how large the population grows, resources are never scarce. Even though crime exists, people still live happily."
Hearing this, Thanos couldn't help but sigh in contemplation.
If his universe was like that, he wouldn't have to carry out mass slaughter to maintain balance.
"So, technology really is the ultimate source of power. If technology advances to a level where it can reshape the world, resource scarcity wouldn't even be a problem."
Thanos muttered to himself, then narrowed his eyes.
"Ebony Maw, can we replicate this kind of technology?"
He turned to his top scientist.
Ebony Maw: "My lord, I regret to inform you that even if we gathered all our resources, I would still be unable to replicate this technology. Modifying causality itself… It's far beyond our understanding."
Ebony Maw shook his head bitterly.
He had always viewed Earth's technology as primitive, nothing more than a planet of savages.
But after seeing the technology of another version of Earth, he realized how foolish that assumption had been.
"Then we must continue our search for the Infinity Stones. Only by obtaining them can we hope to replicate this godly artifact."
Thanos' eyes burned with determination.
The six Infinity Stones could accomplish anything—even alter causality.
If he could harness them, he could create his own version of Doraemon's tool.
No matter what he saw, his goal would never change.
And he wasn't the only one thinking this way—Aaron had similar thoughts.
Leaning back on his throne, he watched the screen, eyes filled with envy.
If his world had such a tool, so many people wouldn't have had to suffer and die. A perfect world could be created in an instant.
But such a thing wasn't possible.
"Still… It might make a great addition to my new world. A world where resources are limitless and fate can be rewritten at will… How interesting."
Aaron's lips curled into a sinister smile.
Meanwhile, back in Doraemon's universe, the group had returned to their original timeline after confirming their teacher was safe.
"That's such a relief… The teacher is fine!"
Shizuka said excitedly.
"Yeah… He might be strict, but I wouldn't want him to die."
Nobita nodded.
"This was all thanks to my gadget! How about that? My tool worked perfectly!"
Doraemon puffed out his chest proudly.
"Yes, yes! Doraemon is the best!"
"Doraemon is amazing!"
Suneo and Gian immediately flattered him, making Doraemon's ego swell with pride.
Just then, Nobita had a sudden realization.
"Wait a minute! Couldn't we use the Truth-Becomes-Lies Mouthpiece to erase Sadako from existence?!"
He spoke with growing excitement.
"Eh?!"
The others immediately turned to him.
"Think about it! The screen said Sadako exists in some extradimensional space, and she might eventually appear in reality. That means there's a chance we'll encounter her! So why don't we just use the Truth-Becomes-Lies Mouthpiece to erase her before that happens?!"
Nobita spoke eagerly.
He hadn't forgotten about Sadako.
He had always been deathly afraid of ghosts.
And now, knowing that such a terrifying vengeful spirit was lurking somewhere in his world, he could barely sleep.
He desperately wanted to eliminate her as soon as possible.
"Hmm… That's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it will work."
Doraemon looked at the Truth-Becomes-Lies Mouthpiece hesitantly.
He had never tested it on an actual being before—especially not on someone as powerful as Sadako. He had no idea what would happen if they tried.
"Come on, Doraemon! You're an advanced 22nd-century robot! There's no way your gadget can't handle a ghost!"
Seeing Doraemon's hesitation, Nobita immediately started encouraging and pressuring him.
If they could get rid of Sadako now, he could finally sleep peacefully.
"Uhhh…"
Doraemon still looked unsure.
"Actually, I think Nobita's idea is right."
Suneo chimed in.
"Yeah, Sadako is way too scary. Just knowing she exists in our world—even if she never appears—I'd still be terrified. I don't ever want to see her."
Suneo shuddered just at the thought of it.
"See?! Shizuka, Gian, don't you two agree?"
Nobita turned to them.
Shizuka and Gian exchanged glances, then nodded in agreement.
"Alright, alright! Since you all insist, I'll give it a try."
Doraemon sighed, then put on the Truth-Becomes-Lies Mouthpiece.
"Ahem… Actually, Sadako never existed in this world. She has already been erased."
As soon as he finished speaking, Nobita immediately clapped in excitement.
Now he could finally rest easy!
But… was it really that simple?
"ZAP!"
Suddenly, Suneo's wristwatch sparked with electricity and shattered.
"Eh?! My brand-new electronic watch!"
Suneo cried out in distress.
"BZZZZZZT!"
At that moment, all the lights in the room began flickering wildly.
Not just in the room—the entire house's lights were flashing uncontrollably!
"Eh?! What's happening?!"
Nobita shouted in alarm.
"BOOM!"
In the next second, something even more terrifying happened—
The Truth-Becomes-Lies Mouthpiece exploded into pieces, scattering debris across the floor!
Chapter 290: The Attack of Sadako!
"Eh eh eh eh!!!"
The Mouth of Lies Come True suddenly shattered into pieces, shocking everyone present. They couldn't comprehend what had just happened.
"What's going on, Doraemon?! What happened?!"
Nobita asked anxiously.
"Could it be that eliminating Sadako exceeded the capacity of the Mouth of Lies Come True!?"
As soon as Doraemon voiced this speculation, he couldn't help but feel shaken. This was supposed to be the most advanced technology from the 22nd century!
Yet, it was defeated by a vengeful spirit. How could Doraemon believe such a thing?!
"And not only that… she might have used the power of the Mouth of Lies Come True to track us down!"
Doraemon uttered another horrifying possibility. Hearing this, Nobita and the others immediately turned pale.
"How could this happen?! Doraemon, what are you doing?! I told you to get rid of Sadako, not bring her here! How could you be so useless?!"
Nobita, overwhelmed by the situation, vented his frustration by lashing out at Doraemon, shifting all the blame onto him!
"What are you saying?! This was your idea in the first place!"
Doraemon, unwilling to take the fall, immediately shot back at Nobita.
"You said what?!"
Nobita glared at Doraemon, visibly upset.
Doraemon, equally displeased, returned the glare.
"Enough! You two, stop arguing! This is not the time for that!"
At that moment, Shizuka stepped forward, putting an end to their bickering.
BANG!!
Suddenly, the room's lights exploded, including the desk lamp.
Bang! Bang! Bang!!!
Immediately after, shattering sounds echoed from all over the house, like glass breaking one after another.
From the outside, Nobita's house had plunged into total darkness.
"Die… die… die… die…"
A chilling female voice suddenly rang out from an unknown location. It was so eerie and cold that it felt as though their entire bodies were freezing over.
The sudden voice, combined with the blackout, made Nobita and Doraemon forget their argument. Everyone looked around in terror.
"Grab your wands!"
Doraemon reminded them.
The four of them quickly picked up their wands from the table.
"Lumos."
They chanted the Wand-Lighting Charm in unison, and light emanated from the tips of their wands, illuminating their surroundings. This brought them a small sense of relief.
"Thank goodness my parents aren't home, or this would be a disaster."
Nobita sighed in relief.
Then he glanced at Doraemon.
"Hmph."
The two, still holding grudges from their earlier quarrel, turned their heads away in annoyance, huffing coldly.
Thud. Thud. Thud!!
Heavy footsteps echoed from outside the door.
The sound immediately sent a wave of tension through everyone.
"We need to get out of here, now!"
Suneo panicked and hurriedly opened the Anywhere Door.
However, all that appeared on the other side was static, like a broken television screen. There was no destination. Anyone who tried to step in was forcefully pushed back!
"The Anywhere Door isn't working!"
Suneo screamed in desperation.
The others turned even paler at this realization. Did this mean they couldn't escape?!
"What about the time machine?!"
Doraemon quickly opened the drawer—only to see that the time dial had turned into static as well. Even this was affected!
"This is bad! We have no way to leave!"
Doraemon shouted in shock.
He then immediately checked his pouch. Thankfully, the gadgets inside could still be used.
"Grab your weapons!"
Doraemon pulled out a Reflective Cloak, Air Cannons, and Stun Guns, handing them to Nobita and the others.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
The footsteps grew louder and closer. Everyone tensed up, aiming their Stun Guns and Air Cannons at the door, ready to fire the moment it opened.
Thud. Thud…
The footsteps stopped right outside the door.
Everyone's eyes widened to the extreme, sweat dripping down their faces. No one dared to blink.
One second.
Two seconds.
The door remained shut. Nothing entered.
This puzzled Doraemon and the others.
What they didn't realize was that the closet door, the Anywhere Door, and a panel in the ceiling were slowly creaking open—three Sadakos emerging from each location.
"Sadako is behind you!!"
"Look at the closet and the ceiling!"
Fortunately, across the multiverse, Tony Stark and Clint Barton were watching the scene unfold. The moment they saw the three Sadakos appear, they immediately sent warnings through the chat!
"Ahhh!"
Seeing Sadako appear, Doraemon and the others screamed in horror.
The three Sadakos instantly extended their long black hair, whipping it toward the five of them.
"Watch out!"
Doraemon swiftly swung the Reflective Cloak, deflecting the incoming hair to another direction!
"Fire!"
Gian roared and fired his Air Cannon.
The others immediately followed suit, shooting their Air Cannons and pulling the triggers of their Stun Guns, targeting Sadako.
However, the Air Cannon blasts and Stun Gun lasers passed straight through the three Sadakos, hitting the walls behind them. They had no effect whatsoever.
"What?!"
Doraemon's face contorted in shock.
"Stupefy!" (Stunning Spell)
"Petrificus Totalus!" (Full Body-Bind Curse)
Nobita and the others immediately cast attack spells they had learned from the magic book. However, when the spells hit the Sadakos, nothing happened.
"This can't be! Even magic doesn't work?!"
Nobita's hair stood on end, his eyeballs practically bulging out of their sockets.
"We've only just started learning magic! We don't even know any advanced spells! Mom, we're doomed!!"
Suneo burst into tears.
"Doraemon! You should've made us learn magic properly! Look at this mess now!"
Once again, Nobita pushed the blame onto Doraemon.
"You've got some nerve saying that! You're the one who didn't put in any effort!"
Doraemon shot back immediately.
"AAAAHHHHH!!!"
The three Sadakos didn't wait for them to finish their argument. Like wild beasts, they lunged forward!
"Get lost!"
Gian swung the Reflective Cloak, flinging the three Sadakos away. Thankfully, the Reflective Cloak was still effective!
BOOM!
In the next second, one of the Sadakos unleashed a powerful telekinetic force, sending all five of them flying. They crashed through the door, landing in the hallway.
"Ugh, that hurt…"
Nobita groaned as he stood up, but as he took in his surroundings, his face turned pale. His mouth slowly gaped open, his eyes widening in horror.
Because what he saw…
The entire second-floor hallway—
Was filled with Sadakos.
