"Boss, why are you even drinking now? We still have time, let's make a run for it."
The subordinate thought it was incredible that their leader was still in the mood for drinking at such a critical moment; his composure was astonishing.
"Just two people, we have so many—could we possibly be afraid of those two?"
Karl appeared utterly unconcerned.
He had at least hundreds of people here. No matter how powerful those two were, it's hard to fight against overwhelming numbers. What was there for him to worry about?
"Boss, you have no idea how formidable that girl is. If you won't run, I'll run first."
Seeing the boss wouldn't flee, the subordinate didn't want to stick around and die alongside him. Just as he was about to make a dash for it, a gun was suddenly pressed against his head.
The one holding the gun against his head was none other than Karl.
"If you dare run, I'll shoot you dead right now."
