Aunt Hong nodded, her gentle smile directed at her as she said, "It's good that you've woken up. What is your name? How did Madam Fu rescue you?"
She looked at Aunt Hong, puzzled, then suddenly shook her head. "I don't remember who I am."
Aunt Hong was taken aback, she had actually forgotten her own identity.
"How can you not remember who you are? Did you hit your head?"
She shook her head, her mind a blank. She truly didn't know who she was.
"Then, do any of these things that belong to you jog your memory?"
Aunt Hong picked up a set of white wedding dress and a ruby ring and necklace from the sofa beside her.
She took them, caressing the pristine wedding dress that lay on the bed, and picked up the ring and necklace that were atop the dress, trying hard to recall.
In the depths of her memory, someone seemed to have placed the ring and necklace on her, but she couldn't remember who it was or even her own name.
