Filippov: "Isn't it a bit of a waste for a General like you to personally command a machine gun?"
"Isn't it a waste for a Marshal to personally command a tank?" Yegorov retorted.
Filippov: "But when the Marshal personally leads a tank charge, it boosts our morale!"
"So my commanding a machine gun wouldn't boost your morale?"
Filippov shook his head: "No, we'd just worry about your safety."
"What about the Marshal's safety then?"
Before Filippov could reply, Misha chimed in: "He's a Marshal, a Living Saint, protected by Saint Andrew's angels. Some of us even saw an angel, wearing armor with six silver nails on its head."
Yegorov: "What? They actually saw it? Damn, I want to see too. The Division Commander always charges without taking me, just enjoying himself. Sukabule, next time I hear he's charging, I'll charge too and leave all the Headquarters stuff to the Chief of Staff."
Filippov and the others exchanged looks.
