Jessica froze the moment she came face to face with Kate, but Kate didn't notice the shift in her countenance.
"I've been trying to reach you since I heard the news of Delilah's disappearance, but you haven't been taking my calls. I guess you've been busy. I'm glad she is safe now. How's she doing?" Kate asked with a friendly smile.
Jessica looked up when she noticed Damon's presence and saw him watching her with concern, as well as her father.
"If you're not busy let's go to the rooftop," she suggested.
Now that she knew Delilah was safe and she didn't have to worry about her so much, she decided it was time to confront Kate.
Kate looked at her, noticing the strain on her features and she nodded, "Alright. My shift just ended," she said, and Jessica held Damon's gaze only for a moment before walking away with Kate.
