I lost track of time, but I can feel something changing inside me. For the first time since its inception in my body, the mutation is starting to tire.
It has always manifested as an endless, explosive force—flames that could burn everything without limits.
But now, its energy is depleting. This is what happens after dancing on these deadly thorns for too long; no power can endure that forever.
I felt the thorns pierce both my feet again. Another change is that my body has started to avoid the thorns more skillfully than before, despite my blindness.
I still can't fully grasp the fact that I'm blind now. I've learned that such things are not easily accepted, unlike injuries or pain.
Losing a limb like a hand or a foot, or a sense like sight or hearing—these are things that can't be compared to even severe injuries. It's like losing someone dear to me, knowing I'll never see them again, but not being able to fully comprehend it, no matter how hard I try.
