On the sixteenth of the last month, Wufu finally left Chengdu Prefecture to return to Huayang County. Compared to the light and easy trip taken to get there, her return journey was one of full load. Not to mention that there were two more people in her company, and two others who had been sent by Ah Jiu to some unknown place, even the things bought in the Capital during these days filled two whole carriages.
As for the carriage she herself rode in, as previously mentioned, she had one made to be as comfortable as Ah Jiu's.
Therefore, she revisited the carriage shop, chose a carriage, and had it fitted with extra springs to absorb shock as she requested. The exterior of the carriage was nothing lavish, quite modest and inconspicuous. Inside, however, it was made extremely spacious and comfortable with carpets, bedding, a brazier, cabinets, and all fully furnished.
