The Thor is indeed modeled after a modern steel ship. It uses the rotation of a turbine to move forward, instead of relying on wind to blow the sails.
It took less than a day to reach the Devil's Triangle.
This strange ocean is always filled with fog, and visibility never exceeds 50 meters.
Occasionally, the wind blows, carrying a low hum, as if it is the whisper of the dead.
Seeing the timid Nami and Chopper hugging each other and shivering in fear, Amber helplessly shook his head. Nami, even as a Logia user, is still like this.
The deeper they ventured into the ocean, the more oppressive the environment became. The dark blue water was as quiet as a lake's surface, but dangers lurked beneath.
Suddenly, strange singing sounds came from the sea...
"Is there no ghost?" Nami asked, trembling.
"It's so scary!" Nami's words made Chopper even more frightened.
"Ghosts? I wonder if they are strong!" Zoro smiled disdainfully.
"Don't worry! Even if there are ghosts, I will protect everyone with my super powers!" Franky showed off his biceps.
Conis and Robin were smiling on the side.
"Don't think blindly. There are no ghosts. It must be man-made. Even if there is one, it's just some kind of Devil Fruit ability," Amber said with a smile.
At that moment, a huge ship slowly appeared in the thick fog ahead. It was very shabby in appearance, larger than the Thor. The singing came from above.
"Do you want to go up and take a look?" Amber suggested.
"No way! Amber, it's just an old ship. What's so good about it? Let's leave quickly!" Nami's eyes were full of tears, and she felt like she was about to cry.
"I'm interested in going up there to see if there are any so-called ghosts. I haven't chopped down a ghost yet!" Zoro raised the sword at his waist and sneered.
"I also want to know about the legendary ghost," Robin added.
Finally, Amber, Zoro, and Robin boarded the ghost ship.
Amber sensed with his Observation Haki that there were no living creatures on the whole ship, but there was some strange aura in one place. It must be Brook.
Soon, Amber arrived at the location with Zoro and Robin. Sure enough, they saw a figure sitting next to a piano playing music.
Upon closer inspection, the figure turned out to be a skeleton.
"There really is a ghost!" Zoro had already pulled out his sword, feeling uncomfortable.
"Wait a minute, Zoro. That's not a ghost; it should be some kind of Devil Fruit ability," Amber quickly stopped Zoro.
The skeleton heard the sound and raised its head. "Hey, how are you guys!"
"Hello! Mr. Skeleton!" Amber responded with a smile.
The skeleton approached them, then bowed gentlemanly. "My name is Brook," he said, then turned his head to Robin, "Beautiful lady, can you show me your underwear?"
...
There was sudden silence.
Zoro looked shocked.
Robin's face turned red with embarrassment. Even in her many years of escape experience, she had never encountered such a perverted request.
Amber punched Brook on the head with his armored fist and shouted angrily, "Asshole, don't make fun of me. Robin is mine!"
"Amber... you..." Robin blushed even more when she heard Amber's words and stared at him closely.
"The captain finally exposed his ambition!" Zoro complained.
"Ahem... Brook, this name sounds so familiar!" Amber pretended to cough twice and quickly changed the subject.
After getting to know Brook, Amber and the others learned about his story.
Brook turned out to be a crew member of the West Blue Lombard Pirates decades ago.
After arriving on the Grand Line, he encountered powerful enemies, and eventually, the entire crew was destroyed.
Only Brook, who ate the Revive-Revive Fruit, was resurrected.
However, due to his soul wandering for a year before finding his body, his body became a skeleton.
"Brook, would you like to come and visit my ship?" Amber extended the invitation.
"But, is it okay?" Brook looked surprised. He had never encountered living people in the decades he had been wandering the sea, but in the end, they were scared away.
"Of course," Amber said with a smile.
Afterwards, Amber and the others took Brook back to the Thor.
"It's a moving skeleton! Amber, please help!" Nami was frightened by the moving skeleton, crying and hiding in Amber's arms.
Chopper was even funnier. He pulled down his hat to cover his eyes and muttered, "You can't see me, you can't see me!" as if it would help.
Amber could only hold Nami helplessly and comfort her, "Nami, he is a living person, but he just ate a Devil Fruit."
"Devil Fruit?!" Nami wondered.
After further explanations, everyone finally understood Brook's situation. At this point, they were no longer afraid, but instead sympathized with Brook for drifting alone on the sea for decades.
"You must have been lonely all these years by yourself!"
"I've gotten used to it over the years, but I'm very happy to meet you," Brook said optimistically.
"Brook, do you know a whale named Laboon?" Nami suddenly remembered hearing Brook's name from Doctor Crocus and asked uncertainly.
"Have you seen Laboon!?" Brook stood up and asked excitedly.
"When we passed by Twin Capes, Doctor Crocus said that Laboon had been waiting there for nearly 50 years," Amber explained.
"Could it be that you are the ones Laboon is waiting for?" Zoro asked in surprise.
"Laboon... waiting for 50 years? I'm sorry... Laboon, we failed to keep our promise..." Brook's hands trembled.
Those who didn't know the story were confused and didn't understand what they were talking about.
Amber slowly told them the story of Laboon and Brook, and everyone was moved to tears.
"We promised Laboon we would take you back in two years. So, Brook, do you want to sail with us?" Amber extended the invitation.
"Can I?" Brook asked excitedly. He had been alone for so many years, and he couldn't imagine that one day, someone would invite him to sail with them.
Everyone looked at each other and smiled, "Welcome!"
