He also had plans for his Mareep herd. He wanted all of them to master moves at the Maximum level: Cotton Spore and Cotton Guard.

The reason was that these Pokémon used their wool as a form of defense, especially with the Cotton Guard move, which increased their defenses by surrounding themselves with thick layers of wool.

As for Cotton Spore, he wasn't sure if it would enhance their wool, but he knew it could slow down opponents by reducing their speed, by spreading spore. Which could be a useful strategy, if it couldn't be used as a means to help with better wool.

However, he hadn't implemented these ideas just yet. If he did, his Mareep might evolve into Ampharos, and that would mean no more wool to shear.

Before making any moves, he needed to find four Everstones, a rare items that prevent Pokémon from evolving.

Unfortunately, these stones couldn't be found in town, so he would have to travel to Goldenrod City to find them.

The reason he allowed one of them to evolve was to make it the herd leader for the Mareep. This way, it would also be self-sufficient.

It could let the Mareep roam around the farm as needed. With its evolution, it would become very powerful and capable of fighting if necessary. Additionally, it would generate more electricity, which he would need for the machine he had previously acquired.

For now that machine was not fully charged. The Mareeps was not very powerful now. So, they couldn't fully filled up his storage battery.

With nothing else to do for now, he decided to visit Goldenrod City again. From their earlier phone conversation, he learned that the person he was dealing with was named Zack, who also owned a large market store in town.

He aimed to return with the Everstones he needed, a trip that would take about an hour and a half with Pidgeot's speed. The sun was already high in the sky, leaving him about four hours before Zack arrived to buy goods from the farms.

Mike then began to take action, thinking about what he might need for his trip. After some consideration, he decided to bring some Gracidea flowers with him. His storage bag, which he had acquired previously, was capable of holding many flowers.

Although he couldn't collect all of the flowers today, he made sure to gather all the seeds he needed. He was going to plant them after collecting all the flowers from his garden.

He planned to take one-quarter of the total amount of flowers, that he collected today. This way, he wouldn't be going empty-handed and would only be spending the money he had in the bank.

Since this was his first income, he was excited. For his first earnings, the feeling was unique, so he decided to celebrate with a feast.

He intended to buy some premium food for himself and his Pokémon from the best Pokémon Hotel that was around Goldenrod city.

He knew that a single bouquet of flowers was worth about 700 Pokédollars, with each bouquet containing approximately 5 to 7 stems. This was an average price he had seen, though the price could vary depending on the market.

He planned to bring 30 bouquets in total, which would amount to about 180 flowers. This could potentially earn him around 21,000 Pokédollars.

In the evening, he was also going to sell Miltank milk. Each Miltank can produced 5 gallons of milk daily, which can be sold for about 10,000 Pokédollars. Converting this to liters, the price was about 570 Pokédollars per liter.

If he sold all the milk, that he currently have. He could earn around 40,000 Pokédollars for 4 Miltank, and this was the minimum amount.

If his ranch's milk was rank in higher quality, the price could be even higher. There was 3 known grade for this: Normal, High and Premium. The higher the grades of Milk the higher the Pokedollars can be earned.

The highest-grade milk was worth about 900 Pokédollars per liter, a record set by Mr. Milton, Whitney's uncle, who was the previous Gym Leader of Goldenrod city. He was now retired and now runs the largest Miltank rancher in the world.

Mike called Pidgeot down from the tree where it had been perched. He then mounted Pidgeot, who carried him toward the city.

After a while, they landed at a designated area where most flying Pokémon come to land. Dismounting, Mike made his way to a flower shop where he had previously purchased Gracidea flower seeds.

The owner of the shop was a young woman in her twenties with long purple hair and a gentle demeanor. Her name was Lila Rose, and her shop was called Petal Paradise.

Petal Paradise, owned by Lila Rose, is a beloved flower shop located in the heart of Goldenrod City. Lila, a passionate botanist was a former Pokémon Trainer, inherited the shop from her grandmother, who had run it for decades.

Growing up, Lila spent countless hours helping her grandmother tend to the garden, developing a deep love for plants and flowers. Her initial Pokemon was also a Grass type Pokemon. She was also a Grass type Pokemon specialist. Her Pokemon was a Blossom, Sunflora and a Victreebel.

When her grandmother passed away, Lila took over the shop, determined to honor her legacy. Under her care, Petal Paradise has flourished, becoming a go-to spot for trainers and residents alike.

The shop is known for its unique and rare flowers, including some that are prized by Pokémon for their beauty and effects. Lila also offers custom arrangements for special occasions, often incorporating Pokémon-themed designs.

Her extensive knowledge of flowers, combined with her experience as a Trainer, allows her to provide advice on the best plants for both aesthetic and practical purposes.

Whether it's a bouquet for a special occasion or flowers with beneficial effects for Pokémon, Lila's expertise ensures that Petal Paradise remains a cherished part of the community.

Mike pushed open the door to Petal Paradise, the familiar jingle of the bell announcing his arrival.

The shop was vibrant, filled with the lush green colors and with delicate fragrances of a myriad of flowers. Lila Rose looked up from behind the counter, her long purple hair catching the light as she smiled warmly toward Mike.

"Mike!" she greeted, her voice as gentle as a spring breeze. "It's good to see you again. How have you been?"

Mike returned her smile as well and said to her. "Hi, Lila. I've been well, thank you. I'm glad to see Petal Paradise doing very well. It looking as beautiful as ever."

Lila's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she noticed the bundles of flowers, that Mike was now carrying for them to be able to seen. "I see you've brought something new with you. What do you have in there?"

Mike carefully set down the bouquets of flowers he had brought with him. "I've just got a fresh batch of Gracidea flowers. Thanks to the seeds you sells me previously. I was hoping to sell them here. It was thanks to you I was able to cultivate them. So, I thought about your shop and decided to come and see if you like them. I thought they might be a great fit for your shop."

Lila's eyes widened with interest. "Gracidea flowers? Those are quite difficult to grow normally and they took more time to grow. How many do you have?"

"About 30 bouquets," Mike replied. "So, roughly 180 flowers in total."

"I was able to grow them this faster because of Meganium. She was a great help when comes to helping in the farm. With the Grassy Terrain move, she was able to provide useful. It was this move that shortening the time for me to bloomed this flowers." Mike said to her questions.

Lila's eyes widened in surprise as she examined the Gracidea flowers. "Wow! Your Pokémon is really strong! It only took them a little over a week to get bloom those flowers!"

Lila's expression shifted to one of determination. "Mike, I was wondering if it would be possible for your Pokémon to teach my Pokémon the Grassy Terrain move. It's such a valuable move for nurturing trees and flowers. I won't ask for your help without offering something in return. I'm prepared to pay for the training."

Mike looked thoughtful. "Grassy Terrain is indeed a great move for that purpose. I'd be happy to help. You didn't need to offer anything extra just buy those flowers from me. This was more than enough, without you I couldn't have get my hands on those Gracidea flowers in the first place."

Lila smiled, relieved and said. "Great! I'll make sure to have my Pokémon ready. Thank you so much, Mike. I really appreciate it."

"Of course," Mike replied and also added . "It's feels good to help out. I'll arrange for a time for my Meganium to teach your Pokemon. When you are ready, please send it to me through the Pokecenter exchange machine. It will take some time to learn depending on the Pokemon themselves "
