Nobu stood tall, his eye glowing with an intense, icy light. Cyro gazed on, a wide smile spreading across his face.
"This should be fun," Cyro said, his voice dripping with amusement. "Your spiritual energy has risen above the others. Hahaha, I wish I could transcribe this magnificent form."
His grin twisted into a snarl. "But now, I'll just have to kill you faster."
With a sudden burst of speed, Cyro dashed towards Nobu, his movements a blur as he accelerated to extreme velocities. "Swink! Boom!"
Cyro charged and swung, but Nobu ducked and countered with a swing of his own. Cyro kicked the sword downward and punched Nobu, but his fist was met by a huge shield (DINGHGGGGHGGGGGGG).
Then, Cyro was struck by a massive arrow glowing with white energy. Nobu declared, "Decimate!" as he released the arrow (WAWBOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM).
Cyro was sent flying, struggling to regain his footing. Nobu appeared behind him, his light arrow cocked back (SWISHHHHHH). He sent two giant homing light arrows flying towards Cyro.
Cyro slid upright and dodged the first arrow, but noticed it was coming back around while the other approached. He backflipped, sidestepped, and jumped in the air as the two arrows homed in on him. Cyro unleashed a huge, charged clap to disperse the arrows (WABOOOOM).
The arrows disappeared, and Cyro smiled, "Hmmm, that was close. This kid is a completely different being now. It seems he can control multiple weapons at his own will."
Cyro landed and attempted to dash, but his feet were stuck. He couldn't move. Looking down, he saw gold silk holding his feet to the ground. He glanced at Nobu, who pointed upwards. Cyro looked up, and his eyes widened in shock.
There were thousands of arrows suspended in the air, ready to strike. Cyro's smile faltered, and he muttered, "Hmmm, this is not good..."
Everyone watched in awe, shocked by the sheer number of arrows hovering above Cyro.
Vojim observed, "This kid is special, huh, Adon?"
Adon replied, "Yes, God has blessed me with two amazing boys. I just hope he can maintain his strength. His Spirit Gauge drains double time when using his Anointing."
Vojim noted, "Indeed, I see he's already at thirteen percent."
Hela said, "This attack should finish Cyro. It's almost a full-scale assault."
Genjo sneered, "Hahahaha! You think that's enough?" Everyone's shocked. "This boy is truly remarkable to see, but this will be the last time you see him fight. He's gonna die like the other kid. I've seen others with the same Anointing die early. None of the previous have lived more than four years. He'll kill himself, hahaha!"
Hela asked, "What do you mean, others?"
Genjo revealed, "Oooo, good ol' Rouke hadn't told you all, hahahaha! Anyone Anointed that dies, their Anointing will get passed on. So far, Gideon's Anointing has been passed on three times, making that Nobu kid number three, wahahaha!"
Hela turned to Rouke, "No, is this true?"
Rouke confirmed, "Yes."
Leaders shocked ....
Hela asked, "Why? Why did we not know?"
Adon replied, "I knew, Hela. That's why I've been trying to keep Nobu away from using his Anointing. Gideon's Anointing takes a huge toll on a person because it's using 300 abilities in one. When I saw Nobu use that shield, I immediately grabbed my chess in fear because that means he's learning more. So far, the person who made it the farthest was a man named Zyo. He reached 21 weapons out of 300, then he died fighting a demon. He was an old man, though, so it was never as impactful."
Vojim admitted, "I must admit that I am also aware. After Revelation happened, when Ezon first Anointed me, we went to a lot of places to Anoint different people. Ezon had told me that three things can happen with an Anointing after the host dies.
1. Transfer: Meaning the person died, but they carried out God's will, so they were just a vessel for a short time. Once they complete their mission, their goal that God had assigned, he takes them up with him, leaving the Anointing to find a new host.
2. A prayer surrender: If someone who is Anointed feels it's too much to bear, they can ask God to take the Anointing away and hope he agrees to allow it. Now, I've heard of some people surrendering their Anointing and dying after, and some who God just told no.
3. Passed Anointing: Which is what Ezon did to Rouke. As you all know, I wasn't there when Ezon passed his Anointing to Rouke, but I know very well how it works because I attempted to pass my Anointing on to my daughter before she died of cancer."
Everyone was shocked by the revelation.
Hela apologizes...
Vojim says, "No, no, don't be sorry. It just wasn't God's will. I thought that if I passed my Anointing to my daughter, she would be healed or gain a lot of the attributes we have as Anointed ones. But the Lord told me that our Anointings aren't used for protection or cover-ups; they're used to relinquish this demonic world. My daughter was not built for this."
Hela exclaimed, "This is truly shocking! I never had an idea, but it must have been for a good reason. When my husband was dying, I would have given anything to try and bring him back to good health. It would have been me believing it was too much to bear."
Rouke apologized, "I'm sorry for not telling you all this. I'm still trying to learn how to be a leader and how to become what Ezon was."
Genjo sneered, "Hahahahahhahahaha! Fool, you'll never be Ezon! That man would have never allowed me, let alone my students, to enter sacred grounds. You're weak, and now that you lead, I'll kill you off alongside the Anointing."
Adon warned, "Shut your mouth, Genjo! We would kill you right now if you weren't busy hiding."
Genjo retorted, "No, no, no! My plan is almost complete. Don't worry, you'll all see me very soon."
Adon encouraged Nobu, "Come on, my son! Trust yourself! Defeat this Cursed one!"
Back to the fight between Nobu and Cyro:
The entire sky was filled with yellowish-white arrows as they headed towards Cyro, who was stuck to the ground. Cyro looked up as the arrows approached, then put both hands in front of himself and made a circular motion. He took a deep breath and summoned his Cursed weapon.
"Cursed Weapons Summon: Hevok Spear!" A purple aura formed in Cyro's hands as the arrows approached. Then, Cyro transformed back into his smaller form. The arrows were ready to hit Cyro, but because his legs were smaller, he escaped the silk.
Everything fell silent as Cyro used his spear to block every single arrow. Thousands of arrows rained down on him, but he danced and blocked all of them with ease. Once he was done, Nobu appeared with his sword glowing white, ready to cut off Cyro's head.
