What the hell was going on?
I felt my whole body crumble and realized I had nothing to wear, but the blanket wrapped around my shivering body and shifted to the side where it was so warm.
Isaiah was there. He was still asleep as if nothing had disturbed him. But why was I in this place? Didn't we make love on the balcony last night? I still remember how enjoyable our sex was, but then, when I tried to release the love spell that was shackling him, it was like something was pulling my soul out of my body and consuming all the energy I had.
Had the spell gone from Isaiah? Had I succeeded?
I was about to get up, but those sturdy arms grabbed me and pulled me closer to him. What was going on with him? Why was he treating me as if I were his lover, kissing the top of my head without opening his eyes? His body was so warm, as was his embrace, which made me hesitate to leave.
