At Forger's residence
"My baby" Elena shouted as her son alighted from the black SUV. "Mom" Ira replied in a much quiet voice before he was engulfed into a tight warm embrace. "Hey, don't cry. I didn't lose an arm or something." Pulling out his pocket towel to wipe her already damp face. "To be honest, you look ugly when you cry." That sentence alone was enough to make her scrunch up her face.
"Aiish, such such an emotional old fellow. Welcome frenemy" Emily said with her all so cheesy voice. They have always been in the competition of who was Mom's favorite child and had Mom's attention the most. Emily clinged tightly to her mother, Elena's arm as if shoving it to Ira's face that he was no longer important.
Their welcome was short lived when a servant ran towards them in order to relay a message, " Young master, The head requires your presence immediately." He said as his head was he a deep bow. He didn't leave which indicated that Ira was to go with him. "Don't worry, run along. I'll take your things to your room for you." his mother nodded towards him with a smile as she proceeded to order the guard around to move box towards the room as she lead the way with her daughter till clinging to her.
Smoothing out his furrowed eyebrows, Ira headed towards his dad's office. Yh, his dad kind of has a company building in their compound. With a office, conference room and small other rooms with office equipments. In wasn't in the mood for his tyrant of a father, Alexis. Entering into the room, after a brief knock. He had some company which consist of some VVIP of the board for the company.
The gravity in the room seemed to increase as the father son duo locked eyes, causing the others in the room to hold their breath, even tho the room was scented and well ventilated. "I'm back, seems to me that your royal highness misses his unfilial son so much to ask him to come and see him almost immediately." Ira's cold voice resounded putting more emphasis on 'Royal Highness.' It was a title he used to address his father because of the way he behaves. Alexis's eyes dimmed as he tried to show superiority towards his son who was totally unfazed.
To keep his pride intact, he didn't show any emotion or give any response and just stated the reason he had called him, "Ivy Dans your fiancee will be coming into the country in tomorrow at noon, prepare for her and be on your best behavior." Well, Ira smirked like he was delighted about something but he didn't respond and just turned around to leave like he didn't hear what was just told to him."You'll pick her up at the airport as good fiance."
This sentence prompted him to stop in his track as he turned to face his father, in a confronting way."I have never been a good boy, so I won't change that now because of some sort of person. If you don't mind, excuse me, I have an urgent sleep to get to." with that shamelessly spoken, he strolled out like as if he hadn't just defiled his father's orders indirectly.
Walking towards his room, Ira happened to come across his elder sister, Diana along the hallway. "Giving the old man headache again, nice one but not advisable." she said with a totally plain face. "Dad's planing on expanding the company into the next country, that's why the marriage between you and Ivy is very important."
"But sis, I don't want my daughter to look like plastic." Ira cranked up, he was really annoyed by his father's decision which meant him having to be an active partner in his Dad's company, meaning he has to be under his control. He already has a successful company he has been running secretly, he didn't want to be under the shadow of his Father. And besides, his sister has worked harder than him in the company, it would be totally unfair to come and reap some one's hard work. "I got the contact for you, if you want your company to scale this summer and get recognition here, organize a free fashion showcase. Where designer can design clothes and get it showcased for free, and models can also grow visibility. Any sales made, 30% would be yours." Of course, Diana the family stalker knew about his company. There's no secret in the house she doesn't know about, how she knows is a mystery. Ira respected her so much, because she has always looked out for them, that is his mother, him and Emily. Everything they ever had was because of her devotion and hard work.
"Your husband is going to have to beat me in a fight before marrying you." Ira chuckled as he saw his sister blush slightly. "I doubt you would" with a slight tap on his shoulder, Diana walked passed him as the sound of her car keys rang, indicating that she was heading out. "Safe returns."
In a room, across the country
"Mom, do you think he'll love me? I heard rumours of him not associating with females, that there's a probability of him being gay." a girl asked with an anxious voice.
"It's like you're mad or something. Those are just baseless rumours, Ivy." her mother's agitated voice resounded across the room, she was done dealing with this dimwit of a daughter. "Do you know the connections and publicity of being his fiancee. What if he is gay? And so what, you just need to give him a child or two." How can you call yourself a star yet you act so weak. Martha thought deeply. "It's up to you, pursue him with all you have or you are not ready to be his wife." With that she strolled out leaving Ivy deep in thoughts.
With a very heavy sigh, she made a resolve in her heart that he was going to be hers or no one else. Any threat would be eliminated instantly. It was then it dawned on her that summer was around the corner and she needed him to increase her reach and bag many endorsement deals. Ira here I come.
