Chapter 119 - Animation Woes

Mathew hardly had enough time to open his eyes as he lay on the soft sole of a pair of well used flats before the sky darkened. He could hear someone above him moving around as she pulled her keys from a purse she wore over her shoulder. All the little one could see, though, was the sole of her foot as it came over him. Her toes curled down, rippling the skin of her foot as her heel came into place and began to gently settle down. The woman rolled her foot to the side, forcing the musky skin down onto his little body as the weight forced air to exit his tiny lungs.

"Yeah, hello?" She said, her voice muffled as she stepped through the doorway and locked it behind her.

*Thud*

Each step she took as she walked through the humid environment surrounding her home caused the air to blast from his lungs again and again. He inhaled deeply in between steps, taking in the scent of her sole as each step continued to beat him down more and more into the insole. It was soft enough that he didn't die, but he was far from safe. As she walked, the skin of her foot ground [REDACTED]. He tried to avoid squirming though, since she might accidentally kill him if he irritated her.

"Yeah. This is Jenna... Jenna Brassard, yes. I was calling to see... Oh, yeah. Alright, well do you think my car will be done by the end of the week?" She groaned, her voice vibrating through her body as she walked. "No, that's fine. I don't want you to rush it. Thanks, I appreciate it... Yeah. Ok, bye."

With that, she continued down the sidewalk. Mathew couldn't tell what she was doing from where he was. Every so often her heel would slip up from the edge of her flat mid-stride only to be sealed back down with a tough thud on the little one's body. The skin around him began to sweat, engulfing him in a damp layer of musk as she walked through the deep summer heat. She came to a stop on him, shifting her weight a bit before the sound of a plastic bottle crashing down from a vending machine could be heard.

"Fucking heat." She groaned, then continued her walk.

It felt like hours had passed as Mathew kept trying to keep himself from being pushed over the edge by her walking. She came to a stop though, eventually sitting down and crossing her legs. The weight on him increased as she dangled the shoe of her other foot. The conversations around were enough to keep Mathew from knowing exactly what was going on. None of them were directed to her, though, just people talking among each other around her on the streets. The sound of a large vehicle coming to a stop nearby was muffled by her heavy sole, though the air brakes releasing sounded fairly crisp. She stood up, forcing the air from his lungs again as she walked into the vehicle and took a seat in the air conditioned interior.

They were on a bus, going somewhere... The weight wasn't nearly as intense as it was earlier, and her heel lifted from the shoe to reveal a little bit of his surroundings. He could see her reflection from one of the bus' windows nearby - A blonde woman, fairly fit and wearing a casual light outfit. It was hard to really make out many of the details about her, other than the big and round glasses she wore. Then, she began to bob her foot low enough to block his view. The little one took a deep breath, enjoying the musky smell of his situation as he lay in the little indent she had smashed him into.

Then, he saw it...

She lifted her heel, brought her phone down to her flat so that the camera was pointed DIRECTLY at him, and snapped a picture.

"Aw, he's still alive." Jenna said slyly, "How cute."

She knew he was there? Her heel slipped back down onto him as she shifted herself in her seat. Presumably, she was messing around with her phone on the bus. A few more minutes passed before Jenna stood back up and exited the vehicle. Mathew could feel his body tipping on the edge of release with every step she took, but... How did she know he was there? How did she know he was a PERSON and not just an object?

"Hello?" Jenna said, presumably back on her phone. "Yes Ma'am. No, I mean I'm surprised he's holding up so well... Oh, shifting topic back to actual work - I think we'll have one of the bigger action scenes done for this season of the show. We've been working pretty hard on the art, and... Well, I think since we're on the topic, have you thought about that proposal? A bit of a pay raise for my team would really help boost morale... Alright. It's just that we had to buy our own air conditioner for the office, and one little window conditioner for a group of 14 animators is. I understand but... Really? Thank you so much. Oh, and I'll be sure that little blue-haired guy is a stain by evening. Right, goodbye Miss."

Jenna entered her workplace, and Mathew heard her going about her business. The floor was wooden, he could tell from her footsteps. Just as she sat down, the little one couldn't hold himself anymore. He felt a little spurt of liquid [REDACTED] as her heel lifted and she began to mess around with her desk.

"Hey Pete, is the AC working?" She asked, leaning back in her chair.

"Nope." Pete replied, his voice incredibly faint.

"Well fuck." She groaned as she fidgeted with her flats underneath her seat. "Call up the rest of the team when you get a chance and let them know I'd like to see them for a meeting. It's good news, finally..."
