DAJI (Co-host): You speak a great deal of the darkness. Was that not in your initial vision?
COLERIDGE: No, to be honest. My initial vision was full of awe and grandeur and the sublime. But these days ... I may not comprehend your modern age, but I do see what you people are missing. You hurry here and hurry there and do not stop and pay attention. To be fair, this is not just an indictment of your age. That was true in every age.
VAN: I wonder. I think life was slower and more deliberate before. Oh, sure you had slavery, wars, poverty, disease, revolution ... but I just think people noticed more.
